The complaining is justified but good lord it's draining my excitement for my show. Might stop visiting the show threads so much, tbh. I'll be having a blast in Lincoln in a couple weeks, not giving a shit about the set.

I've seen GN'R 2016, 2017, 2018 this tour.. I stopped visiting this forum couple of weeks before the show just to have some excitement left and avoid the negativity 😆

That's what every band wants to see/hear :D I don't care what anyone says, you can have a long set and still not make it bloated. This is a great collection of songs, ordered in a way that derails them as soon as they get going.

They should let Slash choose the set. Obviously he'll throw in 10 solo spots :D but generally, he likes to keep the flow going.

I just answered that if he don't like BHS he could take a break and get a beer. To mee the set list is fine. Do want some more deep cuts but I guess they have to please the casuals also

Let's hope those who believe an ex drummer may appear based on rumours, are man or woman enough to put their hand up, and admit to being that gullible. Or will it be the classic case of let's find the easiest people to blame as in the band, its members or management.

It's no rumour, just hopes that he will be there hence he's playing the same festival.

I like it, because I like it, not because of some arbitrary reason., like most here. Your post has the best of both worlds, a definitive statement, contradicted by another definitive statement. Win, win!!!!

I get that you might be disappointed by it, you thought it was heavy and dark, but come on, that's your fault, dude! No one ever said it was heavy and dark! But fair do's, sorry you don't dig it, but don't have a pop at us who do! :headbang: I never had any preconceptions about this track, so I just took it for what it is, but I do have preconceptions about The General, so if that turns out like Atlas, I'll probably feel a bit like you do now!

There is a tuned up version about, you sure it's not just that?

    Good for you :)

Idk know if i've heard the tuned up version or some other version.. gonna listned to the song once again with my headphones instead

After listening to CD and the 1000 songs Slash has penned since 1993 and then Izzy's solo stuff, it's baffling how someone could come to the conclusion that Axl/Slash need Izzy more than Izzy needs them

I would be so excited if Izzy wrote a few songs with them.  But has anyone considered that maybe he doesnt want to be a rockstar anymore?  Let's be honest, he doesnt tour, doesnt do anything with or for the fans.  just records some songs when he feels like it on his terms.  and honestly most of his solo stuff isnt that great- it all sounds the same.  I mean, how many songs can one guy write about the weather. lol?  The guy just seems like he doesnt want to do the rock thing any more, and thats ok.  Its his life and he has that right.

Dont get me wrong, I'm thankful for Izzys contribution to GNR (especially the fact that he founded it) but I feel he has moved on.  And so should we.

If Izzy has a song on the new record then that's the first one I'll play when I buy the darn thing. But I'm not counting on it.  I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm actually pretty excited to see what Richard has to bring to the songwriting process.

    Exactly this.

I been seeing alot of rumors about izzy and steven coming back for concert appearances..do you think axl.and slash know they need to do this in order to keep general public interest  come September?

    General public doesn't care.

Might get stabbed for this but.... i'd rather have Gilby returning to the stage than Izzy. Izzy in the studio or co-writing, Yes. On stage meh

I rather have Sorum on drums. In a perfect world Sorum AND Adler.
