I don't see any beer gut in that photo, just wide sport clothes.
exactly.. just stupid to call the man fat in -98 lol. He's wearing two layers of wide clothes ffs.
If Axl was "fat" even back then i wouldn't want to know what some guys here count as being skinny.

I'll have to say Live And Let Die.. I never really play that song. I like the song live though.

That guy was me
I'm glad that you (excuse me) was dumb enough to keep it. I would've never aloud my sister to trade such expensive jewelry for a mic just to give it to me. If it was meant to be I would've catched it. It's like buying an autograph, useless unless you get it in person😊
Last year in Stockholm I was like 1 meter away from catching that mic, but i was to much of a pussy to not reach (run over people) for it 😄

Just curious.. What kind of mic is it? Do you see a brand name (it's probably common knowledge but I'm to lazy to Google)? I'm sure it's not something you find in a kinder egg but maybe not $9000. The fact that Axl used it during the gig adds so much value. I'm glad you kept it! Maybe post a picture?!
"Shure Beta 58A" if i remember correctly..

The original song is great but i love GN'R's take on the song. Axl's voice on that one is just awesome

wasn't Tobias guitar just dubbed over Slash's parts? so i guess it would sound just the same but with Slash's touch/sound ofc.

If 2006 Axl and 2006 scott would do a cover for one another's songs I would definitely without a doubt pick Axl. But now I would vote Scott just because Axl can't sing the way he used to, but slither is getting better and better.

Most of the people in the audience are casual fans and they wanna hear the bands classics. There's not much room left if you sum up every classic song, cover and solo/instrumental.
pretty much this.
I think they should do some more deep cuts or acoustic songs when they come back for a second or third leg of a tour. But i guess they try to please the majority of the crowd.

His audience is a lot younger now so maybe feels ranting isn't as meaningful.
Less pressure on him from ex girlfriends chasing him for court, and every magazine talking about him,...etc Axl was under huge pressure on the UYI tour.
younger? i thought the crowd nowadays were older in general. Almost everyone were 30+ last time i saw them in 2017. in 2006 almost the whole front row were teens and the crowd were MUCH crazier in 2006. maybe beacause almost no one had their phone up in the air.. idk. =)
As to why he seems happier and calm? Well people get older and wiser and he made peace with his former bandmates. It's ridiculous how some people on this forum are so fucking stuck in the 90's lol. PEOPLE CAN CHANGE OVER THE YEARS

Never going to happen. Don't get your hopes up.

Frank has got to go. Hearing them play with Taylor Hawkins opened my mind to the possibilities. I'm not saying Hawkins would join GNR, but they could very easily find a better drummer than Frank. Brent Fitz from the Conspirators would be a great choice. I've always loved how he plays the GNR material and his original drum parts on the two albums are killer as well. One can dream.
Or just fucking call Sorum!

To me this is just proof that a lot of people like during the last gig need to chill the hell out and not critique every little thing or go "Axl has irreversable vocal damage" just because of one bad gig. Some posters here are just getting silly IMO

Haven't seen any footage of the show yet, except Slither ✌, just read the comments. But it sonds like Axl had a better show this evening.
I would love to hear some songs from Lies album. Or you're crazy (slow version) you aint the first or dust n bones.

I don't get it either, i prefer a t shirt..but what I do get and understand is the word FAIR. Especially when they are rare. 2 max per person.
I actually blame GNR, making these rare only encourages scalping on eBay.
Frame it and hang it on the wall?
Memories?
Agree that they should have a maximum of 2/person

I'm not even an amateur vocalist (more of a "nobodys home lets go for it") and I also find most of them are easy to sing.
I find Aerosmith songs for example much harder, where many say they are the easiest to sing.
Upload some of your singing 😊

Saw this video of Axl singing sitting down. Recent Axl starts at 3:50. It’s insane how great he sounds vs his condition in 2017 and 2018. 2016 he was generally on fire!
I am hoping he gets it together or just stops touring until he’s up for it. He has to know he sounds bad. Money is always a motivator, but he’s made enough recently and can monetize “the vault” sitting at home while still protecting his legacy and pride.
wishing for the best!
2016 was truly Axl's year, glad i got to see Guns live that summer.

And then, just nothing.... until the second biggest grossing tour of all time came along with Slash n Duff.
But yeah, 2006 was amazing. Axl was really on point. Great vocals with ALOT of power. Great looks. Too bad the semi-reunion didn't happen then.
UYI tour, 2006-07 and 2016 was my fave GN'R/Axl years to date.
