  1. Had a great time at the show last night, pit in the sweltering heat. I was maybe 30th in line heading down to the floor with the other pit people. My ticket was for Slash's side, but as I was walking towards the pit every single person in front of me went to Slash's side, not a single on on Duff's side. So I just went there and got a prime spot where the barricade starts to turn to go around the part of the stage that juts out.

The security guys there were great, very personable and chatty. They were kind enough to bring bottles of water every once in a while since it was so hot.

One of my friends from the Nightrain forum and I headed over to the GA line about 20 minutes before the GA gates opened and still got prime spots on the rail, so it doesn't seem critical to get there hours and hours ahead of time like some were. That will come in handy at Foxboro on Tuesday.

Yes, the show was fantastic. But we all knew that.

Got home at 5:15 in the morning, up at 6:45 to head to work. Still there. A bit tired right now.

It looks like the weather is going to hold up. I was getting worried for a bit there.

Thankfully the rain should be out of the area if it isn't already. Will be nice and steamy. Luckily I remembered to pick up some sunblock if anyone needs any. I'll be down there around 2 for some tailgating, and probably working on my laptop as well, unfortunately, before it's time to head in.

Just gonna be a hot one! If your drinking make sure you add plenty of non alcoholic fluids to to the mix..

This has been a public service announcement

Also, if anyone didn't notice the stadium is now allowing you to bring in 1 factory sealed bottle of water to the show due to the high heat.

    A couple of things...

At the show in WDC, anyone who had floor seats (ie. GA or Field seats A1-A5 etc) had to go to guest services (and wait in line forever) and get a certain armband that allowed for access to the field.  Anyone know if that's the case here?

Also, can anyone tell me how long (# blocks, or length of time) it takes to walk from the Septa stop?  My knee is messed up and walking far sucks.  Thanks!

Not sure about the guest services bit for our show, the rep on the phone didn't mention any of that. I'm going to get there fairly early; what I'll do when i first get there is find out definitively what we have to do and post something here.

Septa I've never taken so I can't say for sure how far away it is -

tickets are so ridiculously cheap on stubhub right now for the Foxboro shows. I feel like such an asshole for paying full price. You can get on the Floor for $95 bucks now and prices are still dropping.

Through TravelZoo you can get on the floor for the 2nd night in the front sections for $50.50 - plus fees it's about $75.

So, looks like lots at 1pm. Reserved parking opens at 2pm.

Showtime is 8:30 (wolfmother), and Id assume whatever band wins the wmmr contest will go on at, say, 7:30 or so as people are filing in (just a guess).

Anyone know what time doors open?  I'm GA. not lining up too early, but i'd like to head in when they open up the gates.

I'll try to get the time the 'doors open' time tomorrow as well as what gate we need to enter through for GA -

For any beer drinkers out there, this venue fucking sucks.. The rip the taps of the kegs as soon as the opening note from the headliner hits. That means almost 3 hours of Guns N' Roses with no fucking beer.

I may have to sneak in my flask of rum then to mix with my soda. I do like a good beer though, especially since it's going to be about 90 degrees that day -

  7. If there's anyone on the fence about going to this show, TravelZoo now has some of the floor and lower level seats, formerly $280, for $50.50. Generally the front 20 rows on the floor are $104.50, the next batch of rows are $50.50. Lower level front row seats close to the stage for $50.50.

Guns and Roses Not In This Lifetime Tour

Thursday, July 14, 2016, Lincoln Financial Field

    RESERVED PARKING

LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD K-LOT WILL OPEN AT 2 PM.  Reserved VIP, General and Premium Tailgate Parking is available now.  Concert day parking is extremely limited.  Wells Fargo Center parking lots will not be open due to set up for the Democratic National Convention.   Reserved parking must be purchased by Wednesday, July 13th.

VIP PARKING - Want to park as close as possible to the entrance?  Treat yourself to a VIP Parking spot located directly in front of the XFINITY Gate of Lincoln Financial Field for the easiest entrance on concert day.

PREMIUM TAILGATE - Want to tailgate in Lincoln Financial Field K Lot in the shade next to your vehicle?  This Premium Tailgate pass gives you access to 1 extra wide parking spot under the solar panels with enough space for both your vehicle and your tailgate!

GENERAL PARKING  - Reserve your parking spot in advance of concert day in the K Lot in front of Lincoln Financial Field.  Parking in K Lot is expected to sell out quickly.  General parking spots are sold for regular sized vehicles only and do not include extra tailgate space.

Parking prices include a 22.5% City of Philadelphia parking tax.

Thank you for posting - purchased a general parking pass so I won't have that to worry about when I get down there. I had to draw the line at the $92 VIP spots - I'll walk the extra 50 feet from my general spot.

Any info?  I keep checking, but nothing I've found.

The Linc hosted some country concert last week or so, and their Twitter dropped event info like 4 days before the event. For comparison, the lots opened at noon for a show that had doors open at 5 and openers at 7 (I think). So hopefully the lots for GNR will open early afternoon.

I haven't called yet, but will tomorrow at some point.

Does anyone think they are likely to do a Travelzoo discount for this one? Looks like there are still tons of tix left.

I was originally just going to go to the 7/23 show, as I had plans on 7/24... but since I've been obsessing so much over this GN'R tour... I changed my plans for 7/24. Gotta do Round 2! But I've only got about $250 or so to spend on a pair and I want to make sure I get the best seats possible for the cash. I think it would be better to wait and see if they do a discount.

I would think TM will do something like they did in Chicago - send a link for 50% off any ticket. In a way I'm hoping they do that for the 2nd Foxboro show, as that may be the only way I can go to that one.
