The bubble (before the latest issue in NZ) was only one-way... Going from NZ into Australia was fine because of no community transmission. Anyone going to NZ from Australia would still have to quarantine for 2 weeks.
Ah right, I had it in my head it was both ways.

Yeah, no shows this year (in this scale) for anywhere other than potentially ANZ.
Fascinated to understand what the quarantining measures will be like for ANZ come October/November, no way GN'R will fly over and quarantine for 2 weeks in a hotel before playing the shows, especially as they are going Australia->NZ->Australia.
There is a travel bubble between Australia and New Zealand (currently suspended after cases in NZ) that means there is no quarantine required between the two countries.
As for that first part of that equation, as it stands they would have to quarantine when they first arrive. There are people who have done it at a private residence rather than a hotel (usually involving those with $$$) and it wouldn't surprise me if something like that happened in this situation. Assuming rules stay as they are.- 1

This was amazing footage.. Why can't they just release some fucking shit from their heyday.. There must be so much crap out there that can be remastered..
But how do you hire somebody to remaster it? How do you distribute it? We are in the middle of a pandemic, you know.

Are those prices posted above not accurate then?
They do seem astonishingly high......
Not sure what the source for that pic is. I was going off of Ticketek, which is the official seller: https://m.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx?sh=GUNSNROS21&utm_source=&utm_medium=&utm_term=&utm_content=&utm_campaign=&USER_ID_=

Is that right? 495 aus dollars for GA standing?!
In UK money you're talking nearly £300 for GA and £500 for the pit!
That is absolutely fucking outrageous.
I knew they were now a band for the non-discerning rich folks now, but that really is something else.
Buying a VIP ticket to get right to the front is $475. A GA standing section behind that is $242. I was in that last time and it was pretty close to the stage.

At least the tickets are cheaper this time around. I saw that diamond standing for Adelaide is $242. In 2017 I paid $360.

Like I said, it's not that the wildlife isn't around. It is. But if you're aware of your surroundings, it's more of a non-issue. And like @vloors said, it depends on where you are in the country. More common outside the cities, but I was getting more at the stereotype that "everything can and will kill you in Australia" isn't really all that accurate. There's plenty of dangerous wildlife in the American Southwest too, but you don't see people going on about that like they do about Australian wildlife.
I told my girlfriend if I'm in Australia at the time, and if these gigs do actually go ahead, I may be keen to go to the Adelaide gig assuming we can get the absolute piss-cheapest tickets possible. She's not a huge Guns fan, but said she wouldn't mind seeing them once. And I said I was putting my foot down about not seeing them again until they give me a reason to (i.e. new music or a significantly different setlist), but if I'm around while they're in Oz, I'd like to see them there. Would really like to see a gig at the Oval anyways. I won't go out of my way to plan a trip at that time, but if it happens then it happens.
And like I said in my post, Adelaide is not known for rushing out to buy tickets as soon as they go on sale, except for a select few shows, so I don't think there will be too much of an issue.
I'm thinking of waiting because I don't want to book flights, time off work, etc, and have it all cancelled with COVID. We were looking fine in South Australia, then on Sunday new cases came about and as of now we are on a six-day lockdown. So it changes very quickly. Metallica last year cancelled when I had flights booked, so it is annoying. But then again, I had my brother and friends have Metallica and Kiss cancelled last year due to various things, plus Iron Maiden this year due to COVID. So they've not been on a good run!

On the one hand, it’s Guns in Adelaide. I feel like I have to be there.
But then, I know it’s going to be the same show as last time. It’s in the middle of the week so I need to take time off work and fly to Adelaide, or drive a 16-hour round trip. And it’s a month after my wedding. So not the best timing.
I guess I’ll wait for a while and see what the ticket situation is. Adelaide is notoriously slow for ticket sales. But I won’t need to get an expensive ticket as I did in 2017.

I hacked my Mega Drive Mini and added a bunch of games to it (plus Master System games), which has made it even better. Going through Sonic 3 and Knuckles now.

Going through Super Mario World again...great game.

He was on the Spaghetti Incident and most of Live Era. He was an instrumental part in making those acoustic sets as amazing as they were. His backing vocals are greatly underrated. I know he never contributed to Gn'R original studio material but all the evidence we have shows that he could have definitely had some song writing chemistry with the band.. Slash especially. Vocals aside most people agree that the first Snakepit album kicked ass musically. That was Slash, Matt and Gilby... His first solo album featured Axl, Slash, Matt, Dizzy.. Maybe Duff too. The songs he did with Slash on that record were great as well as the Dead Flowers cover with Axl.
Unfortunately we will never know, but I think he could have continued to evolve flawlessly with the band..
And there are some great tunes on Pawnshop Guitars.

Did they get a cheap deal with a motion graphics designer to get these posts going? The typography animation isn't necessary for the message they were sending.
Not that it even needs a video. But then again, everything on social media these days has to be in video form, apparently.

Got myself an Atari Flashback today. I was only able to play for a little while, but it's a nice history lesson. I may have played the Atari only once or twice as a kid, and have played some of the arcade games, but I'm looking forward to getting into the collection.

My first PES was ISS PES 2 I reckon, so 99/2000ish. The PS2 days were the best, for sure.
FIFA 96 was the best of that era. Seeing all the real player names, etc, after International Soccer and 95, was fantastic.

I like this year's game. I've been playing PES again since 2015 and this is up there with the best.

It's not as if Maradona played with nobodies in Naples, but damn, what he did for that team and that city...to me, he remains the best ever. Incredible player, all the while getting the shit kicked out of him weekly.

I'll always love Rambo to be fair, got massive respect for him, its just funny seeing a shy lad with a Welsh accent under all that pressure trying to speak Italian
He’s doing better than Bale trying to speak Spanish after all these years.

Huddersfield should be fined or something. No team should be allowed to be that shit over a whole season. I can't remember any other premier league team being so bad.
Didn't Derby win just once in a season, about a decade back?
