  1. I tip my hat to Guns, assuming 4/8 is truly the first show. Personally, and obviously for many others on here, I made a vow when I first heard Slash say "it's very cool actually". I said "I'll be at that first fuckin show because that moment is gonna be rock roll history, and goddamn GnFnR is my religion". Then I heard Coachella, and I was bummed. I have no interest in camping in the fuckin desert with a bunch of hipsters. I'm 45- my days of that shit are far in the rear view... Not to mention my ol lady wants to go as well. REALLY not down with Coachella...

I figured, I'll hold out. Maybe LA or NY tune up first..,

    Then, fuckin VEGAS motherfuckers!!!!!

The perfect place! Nothing but a tourist destination for people all over the world! Thousands of hotel rooms! Flights from everywhere! Etc etc!!!!

And obviously, there are many other hard core Gunners that made the same promise to themselves- gonna be there for that first one...

So for me, that's the big deal about Vegas. I don't want some "surprise" small show for a bunch of media and rich Hollywood dick heads. The biggest Gunners in the world will be in Vegas for this. (No disrespect to people who can't go for financial or geographical reasons or whatever)... But fuckin A!!!!

I think you're going to start seeing more GNR songs used in commercials and movies...the Big Short had SCOM so this new partnership with the big three will pay off in big ways

True. I just thought it was strange that the exact same ad had Jungle playing at the end of it for a month, but now it's been removed and a jingle ends the ad... Hopefully I'm reading way too much into it...

  3. A full tour for this summer really doesn't feel promising to me right now. Eddie Money sounds pessimistic to me as well.

I'm gonna go balls to the wall in Vegas 4/8 even more now! Who knows- feels like these dates could be it?

Another possible sign- the Taco Bell commercial (It's gonna be the biggest thing since....) no longer has Jungle in it. Was Taco Bell gonna sponsor the tour, but now there's nothing to sponsor? Again- total conjecture on my part, but....

The only scenario I can see happening is GN'R telling Verizon Arena what time they are allowed to announce it – because, GN'R will announce their whole tour at 8am tomorrow.

I can't see this Arkansas date being the next big stand-alone announcement from GN'R.

I'll agree with you there. I hadn't considered the whole tour announced tomorrow morning though. That would be awesome!

I have almost the exact same seats but we will be there on the 8th. do you think these are good seats? did you get the gold package? sorry if i'm being nosy I have literally never been to a concert that means this much to me!

Well, actually I'm going on the 8th, so I guess you will be my neighbor! I didn't notice the other photo said the 9th...

They should be awesome seats! We will be behind the GA, but still plenty close. And there's a walkway in the center of the stage that comes out thru the GA. We will be really close whenever someone comes out on that thing!!!

    Its gonna be nuts!!!

Just checked my mail... woohoo! :dance:Got my tix, too!

So, I've never bought a "VIP package" before- when and how do I get the merchandise?

Do they give it to you at the door?

Hey- I'm sitting in the same row! Howdy neighbor- haha...

The info I read leads me to believe that our swag bag will be shipped to us before the show. I hope that is true, because I did VIP at another show that gave you the swag at the door, and it was a pain in the ass to carry that stuff around. Especially the poster. Anyway, that's what I read in the fine print on the AXS page when I ordered my tickets...

posted in the general going to the Vegas shows but I want to post here as well hoping to get some help! while double checking my email about tickets I realized that I got the GOLD VIP package not the silver as I had thought. problem is I have no idea how this works! I have only had VIP tickets once before 2 years ago to Peter Frampton and all we got in addition to front row seats was a tote bag, a t-shirt and a lanyard. the gold package for GN'R has so much; access to the GN'R lounge, cocktails, buffet, VIP separate entrance, backstage tour etc etc etc. so what i need to know is when do we need to be there? the pre tickets email said show starts at 9:30 but i am assuming we need to be there earlier for this VIP stuff? so if anyone has the gold package too or has had experience with a package like this if you can give me ANY info i would be so appreciative! thanks in advance...

I also bought the Gold package. Shit, I really hate to bum you out, but with Gold we don't get the tour, drinks, food or all that good shit. We just get the tickets and the swag... "Ultimate" and "Premium" VIP get all that other stuff. We probably get early entry or a separate line too. Again, I'm very sorry to bring that bad news...

This isn't really rocket science folks.....on that chart, Floor Sections A,B,C are GA.  D,E,F are where Floor sections B,C,D are and then E and F will be behind that.

Not exactly. Behind GA, it will be B,A,C. A in the center for some reason. Not a big deal. Just wanted to throw it out there. I'd post a link, but not working for me on iPhone. Google T-mobile GnR seating chart. There are some brokers that post the same chart I saw at my time of purchase through the Nightrain presale...

Thats not the stage layout if there is no PIT.

I agree. That's not the correct chart for the floor for this show. No GA shown there. And I'm in B, which is on the left. This shows B in the center. I got excited for a minute, but found a different one specific to the GnR show. The rest of the arena is probably accurate though...

Haha, thanks! Starting with It's So EAsy was something they did a lot back then, and it was usually followed by Mr. Brownstone. Then it would vary. The shows where short, around 7-8 sons They often ended with WTTJ, but UTLH wasn't unusual, either.

I also remember very well when Axl yells "security!" There were fights all over down in that pit, but there was a big one over there (probably 40 feet to my right). I couldn't see wtf was going on down there, but the crowd surged us to the left because of it. I've been in some crazy pits, but that one was nuts. I still am amazed that my little 16 yr old skinny & hot girlfriend hung right with me down in there. (Fuckin A was she a heartbreaker...) I almost got in a fight with a dude who pushed her. Thank god he backed down because I wouldn't have wanted to get tossed!!!

We retreated after Guns and watched Aerosmith from the back. Just too crazy to try to stay up there for them too. I'm a huge Aerosmith (pre-2000) fan too, but that was my 3rd time seeing them on the Permanent Vacation tour (twice Dokken opened- love them too!!!)

I also fuckin love the end- Slash grabs his Jack off a Marshall and heads into the darkness!!!

What other songs can you confidently remember having been played? No worries if it is just a blur.

They opened with ISE. Adler snuck up behind his kit, then Duff literally hit the stage running with that bass line going. Then the others came running out & shit just exploded.

I remember Jungle obviously. A long time ago though. Add in beer, Jack, maybe a joint or two... As you suspected- mostly a haze on many specific songs...

LOL- I don't remember the show ending with Used to Love Her at all though!!! Of course, it was unreleased at that time, so I wouldn't expect to remember I guess... I've forgotten so much- that's why I'm so psyched to see this!!!

  13. In a way, I can't see at all where Izzy is coming from. He told them to fuck off 25 years ago because it was getting too big & crazy. Then he has just done his own thing. All that's cool n all. But now the "3" want to put it back together and make a run at being the biggest again, Izzy is suddenly pissed off?

Without knowing the whole story (interview Loudwire/ Izzy???), I feel like Izzy is out of line. Unless they don't even want him guesting, which I'm sure isn't the case. Seems he wants his cake n eat it too...
