Are there any indications OMG has been seriously considered for release or live performance since the reunion? I find it hard to believe the current band would prefer to re-release it over officially unheard material like Perhaps or The General. Just because Axl continued to play around with it after its release means little in the current context of the band.

OMG is best left in the past, and indications for new material relate to Perhaps (and maybe The General). Who knows when we will get a release, but I don't think one setlist or a few shows missing a rehearsal of Perhaps mean anything. Remember, we saw an official video that featured a worker flicking through song cards that included Perhaps and possibly The General not more than a week and a half ago.

When it showed up in the alt lists, I always considered it another “CD” song that Slash and Duff were being generous to play for Axl, I didn’t think it was ever going to be re-released. Especially because when it did show up it was 2017 or 2018 and new music was nowhere near on their mind then. Not that it’s much more on their mind now but you know what I mean.

  2. For a band that’s released 2 songs in 15 years, let’s please not resort to rereleasing a song that had its moment. Yes, the mix was mediocre and the song does deserve better, but because we barely get anything from this band I think rereleasing a song is a total waste of time and disappointment for the fans. If a full album was on the way, then by all means go for it, until then, let’s leave it in the past.

It's genuinely incredible how slow things move in GNR land.

In the time since Chinese Democracy, the Foo Fighters have put out five albums, one studio EP, several live and B-side digital EPs, lost a drummer, held two big tribute concerts for said drummer, then continued touring.

Even Metallica, who have slowed down their studio output considerably, have put out two studio albums and two live albums in that time.

Guns should at least stop pretending to care about studio albums and just be honest that they're a nostalgia touring act now.

Yep, that’s how I feel. KISS is at least very honest about what they are.

In all honesty, this is probably what is holding it up. The artist has to record the song and then mix/master it, which takes a decent amount of time and endless correspondence between the artist and the engineer. Add a label on top of that and it takes even more time. Not to mention artwork, distribution, graphics/lighting for live performances, negotiating promotional deals, social media promotion, etc. Even though we've been constantly led on by the band, these things take time and a lot of hard work.

I firmly believe that they've had the songs ready to go at the start of this tour and are just biding their time until the US tour to play them out. My prediction is that they drop Perhaps in the next few weeks and take advantage of the hype to promote the tour.

Things take time, but 15 years, I don’t know.

That's most likely bullshit "insider" stuff. However, it seems that a (one off) reunion was close to happen. There was too much smoke.

A bit off topic, but holy crap, im surprised how aggressive Scott was in regards to Axl. He didn’t hold back in the slightest at points.

GNR Brazil’s page on Instagram just posted this 15 minutes ago:

Guns N' Roses prepares single release and plans to work on other songs after October

Who said that was Tom Mayhue, the band's stage manager for nearly 35 years. In a video leaked to Facebook, he appears talking about the future plans for Guns N' Roses. The video was recently recorded in Paris, where the band played a show on July 13.

"There will be new Guns N' Roses music very soon, they're dropping a single any minute now"

The single the band should release soon is Perhaps, which has already been played on sound passes on their current tour.

Also, the entire tour production will change after this year. The band plans to give a reboot on the upcoming tours.

    All new show!

I can't help but feel like the moment has passed, something this band are good at.

I mean, some new songs earlier this year would have helped the current tour.

Headlining Glastonbury would have been the biggest stage of all to play a new song or announce/promote something.

Slash is going on tour with SMKC early next year and youd have to imagine that'll be a few months at least.

So you have to ask yourself does Guns music even make sense right now? Doesn't mean they won't do it of course. It would be very Guns to release some songs and then just disappear for awhile.

They launched Hard Skool a few shows out from the end of a tour, granted some shows were cancelled that were supposed to be later.
