On Reddit rn, and apparently it’s showing up on Apple Music, just not accessible in US?
Can someone outside of the US verify:
People with VPNs have tried and as far as I know it’s not showing up anywhere.

Maybe they’re counting its possible live performance in Hershey tonight?
I’ll say this to you, I very much would be fine if you’re right and I look like a massive idiot later. But there’s such a history of disappointment with this band and music that I am unable to envision it.
It would be a massive apology for Hershey though for a dud of a show and not playing a new song that was clearly planned back in 2021.

Or the rock news outlets are using this forum as the original source. They don't know shit. They're just as clueless as casual fans are.
I think there’s constant industry and internal rumblings. SiriusXM said they’ll be releasing a new song “in a few days” over a week ago, before any of this. Their tour manager said “any day now” a month ago. Duff and Slash seemed to think it was basically imminent in various interviews they’ve done. It seems like everyone and their mother believes it’s an inevitability, yet week after week we find ourselves in this same spot. We can all fool ourselves and say it’s coming August 18th, but really, it’s likely just going to get postponed again, and again, and again, like Groundhog Day.

I mean, the day isn’t over yet.
In terms of releasing new music it is. I’ve never heard of a band dropping a song at a time that isn’t midnight in some timezone.

Shannon Gunns on Ozzys boneyard just mentioned the show in Hershey tonight, then said the band “released” a new song today, but she was “sticking with the classics” and played Brownstone 🤦♂️
And yet people are still saying the August 11th date meant nothing.
It was clearly supposed to be out today.

It’s not the label. It’s not TB. It’s not an issue of not knowing how to release music.
Theres been one singular constant in the past 32 years that has led to us getting 1 album of new material and 3 singles.
There is no one else to blame.

See you guys next Friday for the daily dose of disappointment. Being a GNR fan is a lot of fun.

I think it's a marketing campaign. The leaked countdown link was not a mistake. It's the laziest kind of promotion, but it works - you don't have to do anything but let this thing "accidentally" slip and then just sit back and enjoy the buzz.
For a few dozen nerds on an Internet forum and maybe a few hundred who will see the clickbait music articles?

Yeah, Axl is allowed to make Slash look stupid every time he says new songs are coming and he doesn’t have to care because he’s making millions.
-
Axl Rose is such a proponent of “respecting what’s going on in the world” that im pretty sure new music will never happened until we’ve achieved world peace and poverty has ended.

If this was a whole album, I’d get it. That’s a big deal and needs a massive and correctly done advertising campaign.
This is for ONE song that’s been done with this lineup for 2 years and 20 years before that with another lineup.
Fuck me.

I don’t know if this has been said but I highly doubt they would release a single or debut it at midnight in a country that isn’t in a U.S. time zone. Maybe we’ll find out tonight. Could be wrong
Hard Skool was released at the New Zealand midnight.

The graphic had August 11 baked into it. That’s not some random accident. They paid someone to make that because at one point it was going to release on August 11th. It was 100% planned for today and then for whatever reason it was delayed or possibly cancelled entirely.

Nah....
Any “leakers” and “insiders” are currently drinking Monster energy drinks and laughing at all of us from their parent's basements.
Kind of just like TB as well

I’m kind of tired of the “it was never formally announced” posts.
Are we just going to forget that “a” new song has been teased to us by Slash for two years straight? That we had a tour manager a month ago say they were “trying to release a single any day now”. That they’ve been rehearsing an unreleased song for months?
Do you know how many of us are fucking sick of this band pulling our leg? And should 2 songs in 2021 make us all forget the band hasn’t released an album in 15 years?
It has to be some kind of sick, cruel joke. In my opinion, this is not a moment to defend this band, this is a moment where the fans have every right and then some to be crushed.

It would be good and efficient since Axl wouldn’t have to write anything. Would be kind of cringe to have a band with this few albums having 2 cover albums, but at this point I think we’ll just as well take anything these clowns throw to us.

Here’s what we know:
A linkfire saying August 11 came up briefly, now it’s down but still redirects to GNR’s site.
It had a countdown that would’ve ended yesterday. People theorize that nothing coming out of it or not being played yesterday is a problem indicating it may not actually be coming Friday.
A random news site with “internal sources” say it’s being delayed until next week. It is unknown what sources they have or if they were possibly capitalizing on us assuming it wasn’t soon on the forum.

Maybe this random internet website was just going off of our disappointment that Perhaps didn’t get played last night?

I like the updated version of both of these songs a lot more than the village sessions versions tbh.
I agree. I’m surprised people like the village version of Hard Skool so much. I felt it had a great melody and potential but despised the long intro and the clearly filler solo section.

If it gets delayed once I’m just assuming it’s never coming. Its like an alcoholic saying they’re going to change- you can fall for the lies all you want but you’ve seen this road before.

Would've been nice to hear Perhaps tonight but it doesn't really matter since it's inevitable.
Perhaps - August 18. UPDATE IV: A New Hope (Radio Premiere Tomorrow?)

Is it that unrealistic when we have a band manager telling fans to fuck off and “the world would be better without them”?
