Also, I'll add one thing. The vocals so many of you refer to as "Mickey" is singing on a level about a few dozen people on Earth can do. Let's show some respect.
That’s just not true. Falsetto voices are extremely effortless unless your Steve Perry or something.

Perhaps this makes me a shitty music nerd, but I don’t even have a record player. Move too much and have too small of space for it. Can’t imagine I’m alone. Really sucks to limit a mythical song like that, I hope it just gets a release in streaming services to cover all bases.

Kindof curious about how a casual fan feels about Axl singing these songs lower. It might only be a GNR nerd thing to think it sounds great. They might be wondering where his signature high voice is. To me though, he sounds much more like himself singing like that than he does when Mickey is at its worst (which it usually is)
Are you calling us nerds? Unbelievable.

The Baritone is the best these songs have sounded in years. I really wish Axl just took this approach for most Guns songs. I don’t know if it’s a pride thing or what but it’s weird he apologizes for it but prefers doing a whispy Mickey falsetto instead.

What? I’m not a Frank fan.
Brain all the way. Best GNR drummer by far.

I’m sure Axl will use the year break to get his voice in tip top sharp, just like he did in 2011 and 2020.

Where else is there to go from here? They’ve toured essentially the entire discography for the last 7 years, we got what Axl probably considers to be the best CDII songs, including legendary song The General on the way, nostalgia packages of both AFD and UYI, etc. It’s either retirement time or releasing a new album, and I doubt they’re going to work on new music. All things have to come to an end, and to be honest, I think it’s time to wrap things up, given the state of Axl’s voice and the rapidly declining sales.

This band is always so close to doing things right, but ultimately fails in the end. The fact that they finally chose to release a buried legendary song and then shoved it on to an obscure physical release only is such a GNR move. This band is a joke.

Why is this a thread? What’s to possibly discuss?

Axl’s been falling a lot this tour. Don’t think it’s that much new though. He fell a lot in the early 2010’s I remember. If you’re on stage 100 hours collectively a year I'm sure you’re statistically just gonna have a few slips.

Nothing sounds like elevator music. I kinda like it. It’s a bizarre, heavenly and floaty track, unlike anything I’ve heard from GNR. Would’ve been cool to see how it developed but I’m guessing it was abandoned.

Axl has disappointed more than anyone in the entire music industry. I don’t know how you can even begin to say Izzy has been more disappointing. I think your post lost a lot of credibility with that.

It is always said that Axl didn't record any more vocals after 2006? But how do we actually know that in the time between the Village Sessions and 2006 he didn't record any vocals for all the songs like
Tonto, Mustache and co?
Then the statement that CD 2 was finished could be completely true, couldn't it?We really don’t know for sure. People do like to say that, and infamously some people say Axl stopped recording vocals after 1999. But none of us know for sure. I always thought the TIL remix was recorded after 2007 personally. And if you want to be technical, Rock the Rock was recorded in 2016 or something. There are many days where Axl is silent and out of the view of public. Maybe he’s never stepped foot in a studio since 2006, maybe he’s there dozens or hundreds of times a year. We’ll likely never know.

They say a lot of shows are special. It doesn’t mean anything.

Just to be clear, the fake artwork for Atlas came from a different place. The Has it Leaked twitter account didn't use it or quote it. They didn't predict Perhaps (and The General) before though. Doesn't mean much IMO because I'd consider normal to have the first single in a more tight-lipped approach, but the other stuff may have plans not as secretive.
I understand what everyone is saying about OMG and I agree that it wasn't a demo - it was just poorly mixed and didn't have enough work back then. But keep in mind that the band released Shadow of your Love as a single with a new mix (and newly recorded overdubs and/or vocals) even if it was already released as a B side before. It still could happen with OMG too.
If they do a new album (lol), then I’d be fine with OMG taking up a slot. I’d assume that would be the case because they’d want to take the path of least resistance and use stuff that’s already mostly done. If they’re going the route of singles though, then I feel like it would be a huge waste of time and a big disappointment for fans, when we still have stuff theoretically out there like Atlas and Soul Monster. I think a lot of people feel the same which is why we’re so resistant to a release of it again.

My guess is Alice Cooper doesn’t really care that much to do research about GNR and hears they’re releasing singles and thinks stuff like the Hard Skool CD is a new album.

It Will be released on streaming services too Right?
I believe Fernando implied it would be. Someone asked on Reddit and he said “Perhaps”. My guess is it will be released still like how Absurd and Hard Skool were.

Fortus has talked more about the song and its production than any of the Big 3 just with this one post. Incredible.

I’m not sure I buy the fist fight story. Would be hilarious if true though.

Personally, I believe all this nonsense stems back to the day Perhaps got postponed a week. Individuals with no time made fake photoshops of The General and for some reason found it hysterical, probably in part because we were all mad (myself included) at how the song was delayed a week. We should stop giving these trolls attention, even talking about it the way we are right now is giving them what they want.

How true is the rumor that Axl submitted CD2 but it got rejected? If there’s any merit to it then it makes sense why the trilogy plans fell apart, but knowing this band it’s probably just an excuse.
-
If this band actually released anything in a timely manner then maybe this wouldn’t be a problem.
-
It sounds a bit better than last show but generally I’m still confused why Axl is struggling so much on it. It’s really not a hard song. It’s mostly baritone. I genuinely think his voice is fried beyond repair at this point if he can’t sing a song like this near perfectly.

Thre's album title, release date, artwork and tracklist
Anything posted to 4Chan shouldn’t be taken seriously.
The recent “insiders” have been extremely inconsistent with their details. The guy on Twitter said no new album. This guy says album. Multiple posts, including this one, have the AI generated artwork which is fake. All this boils down to is there’s people who think trolling fans is funny after the Perhaps meltdown, where shortly after people started posting BS like that horrible “The General” photoshop and saying dumb stuff like Axl cancelled Perhaps for the writers strike.

Axl's voice is done. It's on the way out. He can't get through a tour without this happening nowadays. He needs to immediately do baritone in every show and overcome this arbitrary fear that everyone wants to hear the mickey. The fact that this has happened twice in nearly a year is a bad sign for the longevity of GNR and his voice.
