Duff really has aged well all things being considered in his life! Thats a great photo of both Slash and Duff!

Yep 7.15am here in the UK currently, had my power nap and ready to power on through to the bitter end, whenever that will be!

I've got probably 7 different streams to flip between depending on feedback from people and how each one holds up. One way or the other I'm going to get a fair chunk, if not all, of this concert as it happens. Not too fussed about quality.

This link for soundcheck, someone has already posted the 'setlist' so to speak. Axl is very good, nice tone to that rasp, it isn't sounding forced at all.

WOW heavens door from the soundcheck, sorry only just hearing this, old school rasp...I'm impressed.
-
Just listening to the video clips from soundcheck, Axl does sound good, he sounds soooo effortless with his singing, obviously him not moving around much means he is able to just blast the notes out.
Jungle sounds so groovy!

Great job keeping on top of the streams, I think there will be alot of streams, but there may also be a lot of juggling with them I'm thinking.

Axl sounds good from the soundcheck, that rasp was firece for the end of November Rain its gotta be said. The first part of the song reminded me of the last Vegas gig, good but Axl isn't sure whether to go for the lower chest voice or go higher with it. I suspect if his voice evolves like it did in 10 he'll go more raspy as time goes by with it.

Personally I'm not over fussed about video quality, there will be a shed load of great quality videos later, but to hear the atmosphere and hear the songs being player, most for the first time since the coming together of Axl, Slash and Duff....that is well worth it.

I'm broadcasting live about "test broadcast! feedback needed" at http://ustre.am/eGg8
doing test broadcast let me know if it works
Are you the guy who did the Vegas 2014 stream? If this turns out like that, that will be super!

Gotta be one of the best sounding opening gigs from Axl since possibly Hammerstien 06, in fact thus far this show reminds me of that show in terms of great vocals but tiring towards the end.
So surreal to see Slash doing the SCOM solo with Axl there as well...I wonder what the odds of that would have been like 18 months ago when we first got rumours regarding the likes of Bumblefoot, Stinson, etc.

Dont think many will leave early this gig, regardless of when it starts. This is not a typical nu gnr gig for example...

I will be up around 5-6am uk time to soak in the pre show fun and games!

Hmmm, that Milan date is the EXACT same date as their 2010 concert in...Milan....
Not saying its not possible, but not convinced.
I think any Europe tour comes in 2017. It makes sense to combine it with the festival run in the early summer months, plus maybe some individual shows in places like Wembley, Stade de France, etc.
Of course if there are shows in Europe in 2016, I'll be there!!!
-
Here in the Uk I will be getting up somewhat earlier than normal on a Saturday morning to catch all the drama. As someone else said its exciting without even going, for you guys in Vegas it must be crazy!

I just don;t think he can do it anymore, I think he has more or less butchered his mid range and now has to choose to either push his chest voice up, or do his higher pitched voice. You can him struggling with it as far back as 2010, especially later in the year (Its very noticeable on November rain at Bucharest, sounds AMAZING but you can hear struggling.
What he can do is probably push himself harder, I think instead of pushing his voice to its limits he has instead often just taken the safe option. The Axl of the past (even to an extent upto 2010) would have forced it, but these days that rarely happens. He did push it hard at times at Vegas (the Nightrain on the 7th June is a decent example of that, where he normally goes for 'mickey' after the first verse, at this concert he forced his stronger raspy chest voice and it made it sound so much better)
Even though I think he has really messed up his mid-range, that doesn't mean he still can't give great performances, he pretty much completely was void of it in 1993 and he nailed most of those shows (all either high pitched rasp or lower chest voice though).
-
I think his Europe 2010 voice was a cool hybrid of that high pitched voice and the stronger chest voice dominated rasp.
-
Easy did seem quite quick but that just added to the intensity of the performance. As others have said its like the guns from 86-88!
-
The other thing to remember is that we've had probably a combined 3-4 minutes of footage leak from the show on Friday, so whilst they have had their 1st show in 23 years, pretty much everything will be fresh for you guys going to Vegas. I'm not going as I'm in the UK (I'm hoping there may be a cheeky little Wembley date at some point in the next year) but I will be living through all of you guys going. If there is a stream that sets up, I don't think I will be able to resist, especially if they go on a little later.
-
Wow that version of ISE!
Such high energy from that performance, haven't seen Axl be that into it for some time. Also Axl really does look like the Axl of old, older and a bit bigger obviously but you can see the Axl of UYI era in there for sure!
