IMO Nuno comes across as a bit of a wanker. Fortus was very respectful with his reply, Nuno was not.
Wow, I never thought that you would actually defend Fortus
But seriously, Nuno is the definition of a douchebag.

Yes, I noticed and pointed it out a few pages back. The consensus is that he was probably confused, since, as far as we know, all songs from the AFD sessions were later included on Lies and UYI.
Ok, let's do the math
Total 28 songs
AfD 12 songs
Lies 8 songs
UYI 4 songs
If I'm not mistaken

What momentum? I agree that this would be a great time, if they actually wanted to release an album and not tour endlessly.
The new Album would actually be another excuse for the endless touring.
Axl promoted CD from 2001-2010. How long would he milk a new album? Probably until retirement.

Strike that. Now that I re-watched it, I realized that he wasn't answering to a question but brought the subject up himself. Kind of like the Duff quote - the writer of the German Classic Rock article emphasized on the fact that Duff casually dropped the "news soon" line.
Could that be the official statement? That's what I assume.

Shackler's, If the World, Scraped, IRS, and Riad all haven't been played by Slash/Duff but everything else has!
Shackler's was played by Duff

Well. Is the only way that I would hear Chinese Democracy...so It would be a new album for me. Jeje
Which is weird because the songwriting credits would still belong to the musicians who played on that album.

Does anyone think there really is a coherent release plan in place for Perhaps and The General? I want to believe there is, but I’m sorta unconvinced.
Chances are higher that Axl will rerecord all six albums with the current line-up at this point.

Yeah, but it sounds more like a weird clavichord keyboard to me
I think it could be Pitman on the mellotron. He also used the same instrument on another CD song (TWAT or SoD)

Dangerously worded, but you're point is taken! make it a staple by playing it. If GNR did a better job over the years of playing the back catalogue more thoroughly a lot more people would be aware of the "lesser known" songs, estranged included. Any song that was a single and is now a deep cut is pretty inexcusable😄
I still consider Estranged and Civil War as "special" because those songs weren't played live before 2011. I can still remember the excitment when we heard Estranged at the RIR show. It was the same with Don't Cry during Bumblefoot's solo spots.

Agreed but I doubt either AC/DC or GNR would want to be an opener
Correct. Paradise City and For Those About To Rock are perfect "last songs" on a setlist. They should be played on two different evenings.

I quite liked Goldstein's idea of having a Rose Festival. Make it a one or two day event, have all former band members there to do solo sets (eg Izzy, Bucket, Tommy) then GNR headline and rotate guests on a few songs. Doubt this would happen but would be cool for fans.
Hell yeah. I would love to see Tracii on songs like Anything Goes, Back off Bitch or Don't Cry (songs he played live with them while he was in the band).

Anyone think Bach has discs of these unheard songs?
You're not planning something illegal, are you?

Probably The same as the last couple of years
- lots of touring in the US / Europe / Asia
- festivals in europe
- two new songs (same marketing as Absurd / Hard Skool
- side projects from or with Slash and Duff

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but this will actually be the first time for the Rock or Bust line up to performe live.
What are you expectations for the show in regards of the performance, stage design and the setlist?

I've always felt Myles had a grating voice, don't get me wrong he is fairly on the money live compared to record. Weird that it's not really far off Axls voice in terms of style but so much more annoying to my ear
Richard would play gilby into the grave as well, his writing ability isn't really known though, apart from the breakdown part of better?
He co-wrote some of the songs from The Psychedelic Furs and The Dead Daisies.

While I agree with the general consensus that most people only care about one or two members of a band as is, let’s also remember that a lot of the piano parts on the albums were actually done by Axl, not Dizzy. But for some reason Axl only ever wants to do November Rain on the piano when they do it live. Even though he does it for the studio versions of This I Love, Prostitute, Catcher, Estranged, Breakdown, etc. I think Dizzy only has writing credits on Street of Dreams, IRS, Oh My God, and Absurd.
Dizzy had a more prominent role on CD (playing on every track). His input on UYI was smaller than it seems.
