  1. When Duff joined them at the O2 Tommy was more than happy to give his bass up, I can see him doing that again. I can't see Izzy wanting to perform at it, so maybe have Slash and perhaps Ashba and Bumble? I don't know, some variation on that. The other option is 3 songs, one with new band, one with old, one with a mixture. (CD, Jungle, Paradise?)

  2. He's employed by TNA Wrestling and doesn't do any of the latter, he just turns up and speaks and gets paid close to a million a year for doing so.

Also add to the fact he has started since his divorce the Hogan and Friends tour, The Hulk Hogan Wrestling Challenge Kinect Game and Hulk Hogan's Micro Championship Wrestling as well as The Hulk Hogan Health Challenge. He's pretty well off.

  3. I wish the 2002 line-up could have taken off, but the truth is that wasn't a band, the guys didn't hang out. Axl could have had a 3 guitar attack of Buckethead, Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai, Colonel Claypool on bass and it still just wouldn't have worked as a band. In studio, yes, perhaps. The 2011 line-up actually gel together for the most part, that can only be a good thing.

Edit: Just a thought that popped into my head, but I wonder what the people praising the 2002 line-up over everything else would have been like had the 2011 line-up happened in 2002, and the 02 line-up happened currently.

  4. The two times I've seen Slash live he did 2 songs off his album, 1 VR song, 1 Snakepit song and t

he rest was all GnR. No one called him a "cover band". GnR do 7 songs off Chinese and still get shit. I just don't get it.

Edit: Not quite sure what happened here, this wasn't meant to be the post I posted ^THAT^ in.

I like MK, I just don't like him singing GnR songs. I don't quite know what Slash thinks is so great about him, the 2 songs with him on RnFnR are nowhere near my favourites. Doesn't really bode well for the next album!

  5. 1. St Anger sucked.

    2. Death Magnetic was not okay. It was excellent bar th mixing and mastering issues.

    3. This sucks mostly because of Lou, not Metallica.

Death Magnetic was not excellent. If that was the case why are Metallica fans going apeshit that they're black the whole of the Black album at Download and not going "ah shucks, I wish it was Death Magnetic in it's entirety". It was alright, but compared to their previous work it was nothing.

You cannot blame Lou Reed for this entirely, take away his vocals, the music and riffs is sloppy and all over the place, it's like teenagers who have been inspired by Metallica forming their first band, musically.

  6. It's funny though, because when the next Metallica album comes up, no one will give a shit that St. Anger sucked, Death Magnetic was "okay" and that this was god awful, they'll buy it in droves because "Hey, it's Metallica". GnR put something out that's decent, sure, it took them a while but I cant think of a more fitting time to apply the old quote "quality, not quantity"
