He isn’t playing large venues, surely his shows are sold out the minute they go on sale?

I think it’s a real possibility, I’m sure he will have been asked to. The Whiskey show would be the most likely, wouldn’t it?

    That's what I was thinking!

Isn't Slash's son opening for Adler at The Whisky? Surely Slash will be there? That's awkward-  and seems like the kind of situation Izzy would like to avoid.

I think he's going to be at another event? I can't remember what it was, but it was posted in this thread that Slash wasn't going to be at the show.

Steven says Izzy is as heartbroken as he is that the three decided to leave the two them of them out...

Also that his band will play Appetite how it sounds on record not how the GnR guys play it now.

What do you lot think to this because I honestly don’t know what to think

I think i'm not ready for another round of Steven bashing that's going to come from this.

But I don't think he's lying. I just think he's stating the obvious. I have no doubt that Izzy was really pissed and hurt by how things went down with the reunion. :shrugs:

Edit to add: I wonder if Izzy will turn up at any of Adler's shows?

Oh, it just pisses me off to see that people who do nothing but slate this forum and say this thread is a “psycho stalker thread” come here and take other peoples posts for their own elsewhere.

I wish this thread was private sometimes so stuff like this could stop happening. <_<

Not sure what to think about Constantine Maroulis... He was pretty popular when he was on American Idol, because he was the first "Rock" singer that did well on the show before Daughtry and Adam Lambert came along. But his voice was never that great IMO. I think what I don't like about him is his screams always sound so forced like he's about to blow out his voice. He doesn't have the same power or force behind his voice that Axl had.

And he definitely isn't loved by millions of Americans... TBH I doubt many would even remember who he is. Or if they did remember him, it would probably be for the domestic violence arrests.

So...I caught the tail end of Stevens live IG video.....they showed the lead singer except for his face of course! He was dressed like a college kid lol in tight jeans and a medium blue button down shirt. He was singing Civil War. Not too sure of what I think of his singing. Would need to hear more...but it's hard cause I'm so partial to Axls voice and I don't do well with change lol! Steven looked happy of course! When he drums he is in own little happy world grinning from ear to ear.

I'm so bummed I missed it. :( Did the voice sound familiar at all?

A little extra cushioning wouldn’t hurt, even if it’s just to be able to help out a few more people (say, like Charlie Quintana).

Edit: according to this odd video, Izzy’s worth $28m in 2018: cushy but not exactly a rocknroll lifestyle:

Bringing up charlie really isn't cool. I get that a lot of you don't give a shit, but his death was horrible and implying that Izzy didn't want to help because of money is just ridiculous. Izzy's helped out a lot of people over the years. I'm sure if he had known about Charlie he would've done something, regardless if he had the funds or not.

In my heart I agree, but with my head I think if they were to name the right price, Izzy would go back with GNR. The man’s got to earn a living, get “a little money coming in”, more than a trickle of royalties.

Pretty sure Izzy's set up for life. If he was worried about money, he would've accepted whatever they had offered him when this whole thing started. :shrugs:

Ah, no. Yeah, people with money have troubles and problems, but having money does make life easier when you don't have to worry about paying bills and buying foods for your kids.

You don't have to worry about bills or keeping food on the table, but if you're broke nobody is going to kidnap you for ransom and cut your ear off either. Both sides of the coin have problems. Just different kinds. :shrugs:

    Am I speaking hopefully by saying that;

Angus is older than the boys of GnR, & the reason Axl is doing the album/tour is because it will be the very last chance for ACDC.

GnR have a few extra years to possibly cut another album & tour, so Axl may just be prioritizing by age which project he should tackle first.

But the GNR guys aren't exactly spring chickens anymore either. And with the damage they've done to their bodies we can't expect them to be around forever.

If that's really what they're thinking, I think it's a mistake. They're very lucky that all 5 are still alive. If an album was going to happen, now might be their last chance.

What people are sayin' about Chalo is true. I offered to help him and to start a GoFund ... cause he was really sick. His Sister said it was related to heart issues. The thing is that he was asking for help and only a few cared, and when I said to him: Chalo please let me help you, I wanna start a go fund if you want. He called me but I couldn't answer the call cause my internet connection was terrible, and when I explained that to him, he didn't answer to me anymore... I can imagine how alone he was feeling... I hope that Iz didn't get mad about my tweets replying a girl who said that he was acting cold ... I was pissed cause she was judging without knowing and I guess it was worse cause he deleted those tweets, but I'm really sad about how the whole situation was... I'm writing this here cause I think the best is to people know the truth of what happened, and I'm sorry if Izzy felt bad about it, I just though it was unfair, because chalo and him had good memories of each other and now a bunch of people is saying shit about Izzy and the truth is that he had a lot of closer friends reading about his situation on FB everyday and they didn't do a thing... and according to Chalo, he and Izzy didn't speak in years, he even said that on a lot of interviews. So I'm sorry for saying this but I have to, I feel so angry that I can't even sleep, I have to do this in memory of Chalo.

I believe Jimmy said in an interview that Izzy hadn't spoken to Chalo since the band broke up, so I'm sure Izzy was just as out of the loop as we were. But I do see where the girl was coming from about the tweets. They did seem impersonal, but knowing that Izzy hadn't spoken to Chalo in many years + the fact that Izzy is always a little awkward. I wasn't too surprised by that. I think Izzy meant well with the tweets and that's what matters.

At this point, I think people are just grieving and they want somebody to blame because this shouldn't have happened... but we can't sit around blaming people. That isn't going to bring him back. I just hope that going forward if something happens like this again that people speak up.

all this talk because a transcripted interview where it was said Axl was working on his life and addictions. First, Axl didn't say that and everything in that transcript is speculation and 2nd the use of the word addictions in such a sentence can be anything. It's not necessarily drug or alcohol addiction. I've seen comments where it's been determined what drug, where he purchased and its impact. Rather than condemning with slander, he should be supported for trying to improve his life which has always been highly private with very little insight to the public. since the early '90's I've heard interviews with him talking about how he wants control of everything and being a perfectionist. Both of which are impossible to achieve. Such a life for anyone would be difficult. Why can't you accept that only Axl knows his personal battles and stop the damning speculation?

Are you insinuating I lied in the transcript?  I put timestamps in there for a reason... Go listen to the interview yourself if you think I made it up. Also the interview was with Martin Glover, who worked closely with Axl... It's not really speculation when it's coming from somebody who knows Axl personally. Glover could be lying but that still doesn't fall under speculation.

As for our discussion, this is a GNR forum. Where people discuss any and all news about GNR and it's members. If that's going to upset you then you probably shouldn't read here.

Another thing that surprised me...... Axl's addictions? :suspicious: this is new to me.... I wonder what kind of addictions are those....

That surprised me too. Possibly cocaine or alcohol? There's always been rumors but until this interview I've never heard somebody call him an addict before.
