What festival is that?? I know of some festival in Spain, Azkena Rock Fest, they tweeted Izzy saying they'd love to have him but as far as I know, all the bands have been announced already.

OK, now that the first excitement has cooled down, I agree with all of you. It's probably bullshit if it started on IG. A lot of people there have no clue at all, they keep posting pics of Fortus thinking it's Izzy, i even had a little argument with a girl once cause she lkept posting pics of Fortus and saying that Izzy was there 

 

That's the one! I just remember them tweeting him a couple times and saying that Cheap Trick was also playing. I figured it was a long shot but since Cheap Trick was also there and he seems to be friends with Rick Neilson I thought maybe there was a chance.

Maybe if we get lucky he got in touch with that festival that wanted him to come play. They said all expenses paid so maybe he will be interested.

I think the fact that he didn't show up to the LA or San Fran shows kind of speaks for itself. But I agree @Jane M. I have a feeling this whole tour there are going to be a ton of "A FAN SAW IZZY AT THEIR HOTELS!!" posts and it will always end up being Fortus as usual. lol

I seriously doubt he would only be playing a song or two like Steven. Not when he already played so many with fake guns, I would expect at least the same amount. That's if he were to turn up which I really don't think is going to happen. Ever.  

 

Most likely leads us back to this thread. lol We're getting our hopes up off of our own rumors now.

Jokes aside, I completely agree with you. I just don't see any signs that he is going to show up. Nobody even knows if they're talking to each other anymore as friends much less trying to work out guest spots.

Anyway, I find that very odd and hard to believe. First because it's Izzy and as much as it hurts to say this, I really don't think he wants to be a part of this reunion in the terms it was negotiated. Second because it's Portugal - we are kinda peripheral in Europe, let alone european shows, why should we get Izzy out of nowhere? London, on the other hand, I wouldn't be that surprised.

He said in an interview once that he likes Portugal and Spain so it wouldn't surprise me too much. Plus the guy likes traveling. All I have to say is if he does show you guys better report back! You can faint after you take pictures for us. lol

Somebody posted in the Women's thread that Izzy might be at the Spain, Portugal & London shows. So I'm assuming if he did go that would mean 1-2 song guest spots only.

I wouldn't want to tweet him about the rumors. If you read his mentions on twitter people have never left him alone about coming back to GNR since he opened his account. If people keep bugging him non stop about it I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back into hiding.

I'm more interested if there are more solo songs coming or not.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't like Meegan. I just get the vibe that she is using slash. But if he's happy I guess that's what matters.

Sad but true. Almost every person I know that is a casual fan (only knows the hits, slash & axl, etc..) thinks Izzy is still in the band. lol Even the people taking pictures with Fortus on instagram tag Izzy and will argue that it's him.

I like Richard... _{even his spasms sometimes.} But I would still rather have Izzy up there any day.

Between the GNR vault and all the interviews we have seen from people over the years the guys must have so much unreleased material. I wish it would all come out already. Maybe do some big box set for the 30th anniversary and release it then. Or just throw it up on itunes...

Thanks for posting that interview, Downliner! I haven't read that one before. Taz seems like a funny & cool dude and that Izzy guitar story was very sweet. Izzy always sounds like such a good friend to people.

Judging by his face and holding his breath I'm pretty sure it was "Oh fuck..." I wonder if either of them got a phone call from Izzy and "got the corn" so to speak after?

Duff was cracking me up throughout that whole video. I've never seen him look so uncomfortable. And that was before they asked any of the awkward questions.

I can't believe I'm about to actually defend Axl but does anybody else get the vibe that Slash is the problem nowadays? He's the only one that doesn't seem happy lately. He used to do interviews all the time and now it's complete silence. Just seems weird...

I rewatched the Axl & Duff interview the other day and when they were talking about Izzy & Steven, Axl didn't seem mad at all. We all know Axl. If he had beef with Izzy I don't think he would've responded the way he did or could've hid his emotions. Maybe I'm way off but my gut feeling is that something happened with Slash. Maybe Slash asked for more money last minute and that's why Izzy's share was cut?

That is so creepy. Mine was because I worked for a cosmetic company at the time and they were trying to rig a giveaway we were having on Youtube. I was like dude... That is a lot of effort to go through to try and win a $50 brush set. lol

That's the really weird thing about the fake Izzy accounts. I've had at least 3 fake accounts made in my name before and they were taken down within hours. And I'm definitely not a celebrity. So why is his still up when so many people are reporting it?

I was still lurking when that thread was going on but it was hilarious. I felt so bad for Izzy & Will. I couldn't believe that people still had their doubts after Izzy had called him personally. lol

For this year, I'd love for Izzy to release a full album and for him to do a couple shows but I don't think the shows will happen. I've always wondered why Izzy doesn't do something low key with Rick Richards? Rick is always doing shows in Georgia so why not drag Izzy up there with him? lol I also think it'd be cool if he would work with Jesse Aycock some more.

For GNR... I don't know. I was so excited when I heard NITL get announced but now? I don't know how to explain it. I'm just not into it anymore. I still love Duff but I think it was the Steven guest spots that did it in for me. To see an original member only play one song was just depressing to me. Especially after everything Steven has gone through and knowing how bad he wants it. We saw more passion out of Steven in 5 minutes then we did out of a whole 3 hour set with Frank.  I think the only thing that would get me excited about GNR again would be if all 5 guys patched things up and played again. Other than that I just don't want to see anymore guest spots from guys who created the band in the first place. So if Izzy keeps doing his own thing in 2017 I'm more than cool with that.

I'm pretty sure the app automatically imports the little verification check. Not sure. I had never used it before. lol All it had me do was type in his twitter name and then his pic popped up and I could write whatever I wanted.  If you google how to make a fake tweet a bunch of generators and apps pop up to use. Kinda scary how easy it was.

At least we know the really Izzy will tweet something funny sooner or later. He always does.
