Well He didnt have issue with touring but what tour? Club touring or big tour like UYI N' NITL?

True. I think Slash said in his book that Izzy suggested doing a club tour with Velvet Revolver but then ducked out when they decided to get a singer and do something bigger. So I guess he could have an issue with big stadiums.

    ..or just singers. :smiley-confused2:

Well even if Axl fired Richard, Is Izzy willingly to do a full tour with Them or He will disappear like usual after couple of shows? Obviously They wont take tht risk just for Izzy

I never understand why he has the reputation of hating touring. The Ju Ju Hounds toured pretty extensively in '92 & '93 and they only missed a few gigs when Izzy was in the hospital. If he was a flake I don't think he would've made it through that tour.

LOL! What if future album releases mirror the time-frame of release between pre-CD albums. Next album will be a covers album released in 2021 with Axl+Slash+Duff+few other people (the post CD Spegettie incident), 2 years after that will be another double album with Axl+Slash+Duff+Izzy, then possibly an EP and finally, after 4 years, an album with Axl+Slash+Izzy+Duff+Steven.

    It's a palindrome!

Omg... Don't give Axl ideas!! What would they call the 2029 tour? "Not in this geriatric lifetime!!" tour?? Because you know they can't tour right after that 2027 album release. They have to let it sit for a minute then go out.

Too bad we probably won't get to hear Duff play with him. I wonder if they are even speaking? Rmember last year when Duff said that he wanted to play with Izzy "for the rest of my life?" What the hell? Come on guys.  :izzy::duff:

I really hope that sooner or later the whole story on why Izzy isn't involved comes out because the Duff thing is still the one piece that doesn't fit for me. Obviously it was partly a money issue, Izzy's tweet confirmed that, but with the way Duff has talked about Izzy as a friend and even called him mentor in his books it just doesn't make sense to me how money can destroy that relationship after all these years. They always seemed really close. :(

I also think it'll be interesting to see how this reunion plays out over the next few years. Right now it's very trendy to be a GNR fan. I work in social media and I cannot tell you how many people I see buying GNR tickets because it's the popular thing to do right now. But at the same time these people couldn't name the original members or more than 3 songs if their lives depended on it. (And before somebody yells at me, I'm not saying that all the people going to the shows lately aren't fans. That's obviously not true. I'm just saying that there seems to be a huge chunk just going to see what all the fuss is about. Similar to what Coachella has become the past few years. It's the "cool" thing to do at the moment) If it is just a "cash grab" like some people have said, do you guys think the big 3 will retire (or go back to solo projects) after 2017 when the hype dies down or be forced to bring Izzy back then?

For some reason I just cannot picture GNR releasing more new music without Izzy. Maybe that's me being biased because I'm an Izzy fan but he has been such a huge influence (songwriting wise) on all of them I just don't see it happening or if it does it will happen like Chinese Democracy, 10-15 years of waiting and then get released.

Still curious why He post Axl impersonator with caption "Better than Axl" while We know He recruited Axl because He likes His voice :max:

I don't remember it having a caption? Just that he tweeted the videos. But Izzy has always had a sarcastic sense of humor so he was probably just being a smart ass.

    :smiley-confused2:Really hope not.

I was interested in the recent juju hounds tweet. I always got the impression that band collapsed in a bad way,so it was good to see him acknowledge them.

As for the you tube channel, it has to have some connection to him. Don't really know how youtube works, can you send messages to the site owner?

You have to have a google + account linked to use the Youtube message system and that Classicrockstuffs account doesn't have one. :( Maybe somebody on here whose braver than me can email him with that email he posted on twitter...

Edit: Wait... wouldn't Rick Richards have that footage too? Maybe he'll give it to us. He's easier to get a hold of than the Ninja. Or maybe somebody should tweet Izzy "Give us the tour footage or we're holding the avocados ransom...Please?"

  7. Thanks for reaching out to him (I thanked Tomoko on his channel. :)) I wonder what ever happened to the japan videos they were talking about and why there were never released. Would've been cool to see better quality videos of his shows.

I also wish chopaway/beenafix would come back but I understand if you don't have the time. I found Izzy's solo stuff before I ever discovered GNR and used to love that forum back in the day. So thanks for running it as long as you did! :headbang: Maybe if it came back it would motivate Izzy to get his butt out on tour or at least to talk more to his fans.

    This one?

This is all I've heard of the interview. Tomoko also shared a pic of the tour merch which was cool:

There's also this recording from a Japanese radio station of Here Comes The Rain live:-

If you do find the full interview I'd love to hear it too :headbang:

Yep! That's the the one! I'll keep looking around, if I find it I'll let you guys know. :)

  9. Oh, sorry about that! I didn't realize the duct tape story had already been posted. And I doubt that is true about Duff giving Slash money. I'm sure he probably would if Slash really needed it but there is just no way that Slash could be that broke even with the divorce. His guitar collection alone is worth an insane amount of money... plus all the tours, albums, guitar hero, merch and so on...

What story? The one about Axl pushing a girl down the stairs? It's not in the book, as @Blackstar already explained. But according to Alan Niven (and I also remember Steven Adler mentioning that incident somewhere), Axl once pushed a girl down the stairs for refusing to have sex with him. I think Niven also said he (Niven) paid her off to keep her mouth shut.

Make of that what you will. I know I believe it (despite usually not trusting anything that comes out of Niven's mouth), because you have two people telling the same story in this case and it fits right in with all the other seriously disturbing behavior Axl displayed in his younger years.

I'm pretty sure they were talking about the duct tape story. I'm not sure how to post images here so I'll upload the screenshots to imgur:

Honestly between the duct tape and other stories that have come out recently I'm not really surprised that Izzy is so shy about his past now. They definitely did some F'd up stuff back then. :-/ There is also a story about Baz punching Izzy's brother and Axl and Baz staying up all night doing drugs with Erin and Baz's GF then calling Howard Stern in the morning but nothing that we haven't heard before.

P.S.: Hi everyone! lol I finally came out of lurking mode. I'm jealous you all are going to the 2017 shows. I missed out on seeing them in San Fran and I'm still kicking myself for it. Wouldve been fun to meet up with fellow GNR fans.

  11. I remember there was an interview where they asked Izzy about Slash's comments and he was like "No, that's Axl talking and Slash repeating it." or something like that. But I thought it was about Demo tapes. Not Izzy's playing. As far as I've heard Slash always liked Izzy but wanted to be the only guitarist. That was his only issue. The demo interview was hilarious though because Izzy was his usual smartass self and said something along the lines of "Well, I guess he's right. Slash always did label his demos nicely."

We had that small one on the east coast a few years back and that was enough for me.  I think that was in the low fours magnitude

As weird as it sounds unless its a monster or your standing completely still when they happen you don't really notice them. Or they are over before you even know what's going on. lol I've lived in CA my whole life and would take the earthquakes over your snow storms any day!
