    The whole "Izzy sucks because he doesn't sell out stadiums!!" argument is so stupid it's not even funny.

    None of the solo work put out by ANY of the other GNR guys has sold out stadiums but Izzy is the one that gets singled out? If Axl was only touring with Chinese Democracy songs he wouldn't be selling out anything. Duff, Steven, Slash, and Velvet Revolver weren't exactly doing big stadium tours either and the majority of their set lists were Appetite songs anyway.

    Why is it so hard for you guys to admit (whether you like his music or not) that Izzy has had a pretty damn successful solo career?

    • Well over 100 shows played without relying on GNR songs to fill the set
    • 10 Albums Released (Soon to be 11 if the rumors are true)
    • 100 + Songs Released
    • Plus all the songs that he has released on Slash & Duff's solo records AND the songs that he was working on with Velvet Revolver that ended up on the Contraband album.

    Velvet Revolver was pretty successful but other than that none of the GNR guys have even come close to writing or releasing as much material as Izzy has. I'm not telling you to love the guy but you can at least give respect where it's due. There's no reason to pick sides. You can be an Izzy fan and be a GNR fan at the same time.

    So. There.

    Maybe he didn't want to blow all your minds without warning. He has to release the cut version first, a little tease just like Walk n' Song, then the full version later when you all have mentally prepared for the magic that is a Izzy Stradlin release. ? ;)

    ...Jokes aside, I have no idea. :shrugs: I wish he would release it on itunes or something so we can at least download it.

    That's how I felt too. But at the same time a lot of sites were copying what MSL was saying and posting it in their own articles as if it were 100% fact so I wasn't surprised when Izzy started looking for him. I also think the fact that MSL didn't reach out to Izzy at all speaks for itself. MSL lives for GNR "info" (if you want to call it that) and yet when he has an original GNR member trying to contact him he doesn't respond? C'mon... :rolleyes:

    Izzy tweeted these when MSL was posting everywhere why Izzy wasn't reuniting with GNR and right after MSL said that Izzy's tweets were misleading because he knows Izzy rehearsed with GNR.  Taken out of context it doesn't seem like much but these mixed with MSL's posts gave me the impression that Izzy wasn't happy MSL was speaking for him all over the place like it was fact and wanted to talk to him. But who knows. :shrugs:There was a post talking about all of it on GNR truth but that seems to have been removed now.

    Off the top of my head in the past we had Axl of course, Ashba and Bumble register and be authenticated.  Unsure about any others.

    I knew about the Dexter account. I just saw that iii]; )' account browsing some Axl threads and a couple fans had commented on the profile that it was Slash so I was like... wait? Does Slash read here too? lol It's probably just some fan account, though. And we know that Izzy must've read a couple forums at some point because he retweeted some stuff posted and called out MSL specifically. :lol:

    The whole GNR/Izzy situation is pretty much impossible when you really think about it. Fortus has been extremely loyal to Axl over the years and we all know that Axl takes care of people who are loyal to him. There is no way that Axl will fire or get rid of Fortus for Izzy. I think in Axl's mind that would be like stabbing Fortus in the back or something. I also don't ever see Fortus stepping down for Izzy to replace him. He has a cushy job with GNR that will provide for his family long term. With all do respect to Fortus, I don't think any of his side projects are going to do that for him. 

    The only option really would be to have Izzy play a couple songs during the set like Steven. And as a long term Izzy fan, I really don't want to see that. :( With everything Izzy has contributed to GNR over the years he deserves better than that. So honestly, I'd rather Izzy just keep putting out killer solo albums like he has been doing. At least he will get the respect he deserves that way.

     

    ...but his butt still needs to grab Rick, Taz and the guys and go do at least one solo show somewhere. Preferably in northern California. :P:smiley-confused2:

    I guess he posted the clip for whatever reason and the thing got out of hand. Haven't read the comments on Twitter but people were probably asking him to get back to GnR AGAIN and he just freaked out even more than us :D

    BTW, just in case he's reading us: Hi Izzy! You are an amazing artist and we love you, with or without GnR. Do more music, please! :wub:

    I'm guilty too. I tweeted him the Izzy Bourne gif but I just figured it might make him laugh in the midst of the "OMG plz come back to GNR?!!11" tweets flying at him. I do wish people would back off a bit though. Maybe he wouldn't be so quiet if people weren't harassing him about GNR every time he posts.

    I think it said on instagram that was his brother but I cant remember for sure and when Izzy first started twitter he tweeted Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick that he had bought a computer, opened a twitter account, and stopped avocado farming. Because his account wasn't confirmed to be him yet the fans started making a bunch of Avocado meme's and sending them to him.
