  1. I think Axl like them because like their music, I remember a video of him AND His friend Dave Lank  seeing Mother Love Bone, the Band Pioneer of grunge sound.

In my opinion, Is interesting to see members of those bands going to GNR: Dave Grohl and all His appearances with GNR and viceversa, Chris Cornell covering Patience, and the guys of Soungarden going to see GNR in Seattle, Mike MCCready going with all his heart in PC, Alice in Chains, etc. after all this years Is like respect is given in both sides AND Is so nice to see.

Another quote from the interview with Classic Rock Germany (auto-translated):

You have 60 songs already recorded...

Yes, and since we've been on tour with Guns N' Roses, I've already added another 15 ideas. Before I even go on tour with LIGHTHOUSE, I'll probably release another solo record. There's so much material out there and my management agrees that we need to get it out. What should we wait for? For me to be 70?

I wish Axl thought along the same lines...

So, I assume the GNR hiatus Will be a long one....so we must see Axl as lot because he Will dissapear

The rockers have been on tour virtually full-time since they reformed seven years ago. They’ve released just two new songs, Hard Skool and Perhaps, but McKagan reassures fans a new album will happen eventually, promising: “Don’t worry, we’ve got this.”

The pancreas... I read It...thank you.

So Axl Is the historian of the Band...and he remembers everything! What a book his autobiography would be!!

I had tickets to the ill-fated Philly '02 show (both of them, actually). I was so excited because it was the band that I was just starting to love (I was 15) and now they looked cool, crazy, and really interesting. When the shows got cancelled I was crushed and I couldn't believe that I was in a GNR riot. That's a kind of cool thing to say now, but was devastating to me then.

I still look back on that era of the band and love what it could have been. I actually recently wrote an essay on this where I just can't help but wonder what cool industrial metal songs we may have heard if he just went solo. Who knows? We could have had a version of NuGNR that is active between GNR tour legs. A lot has been written about the name, but I just can't help but think how different it all may have been if he dropped it.

I like your article very much, the way It was written AND the perspective, I'm in the second group, I cannot accept GNR without Slash, just can't...if Chinese Democracy was market as solo effort It would be more palatable. I accepted VR because It was not GNR and I understood that right away

I really, really like to hear what Axl has to say from that period. Is a shame that he simply doesn't talk

Johnson's health issues have been very public since he was forced to step down from AC/DC. Regardless of his vocal quality, just getting out on that stage and going for as long as they did was a huge achievement in itself. You could see the joy beaming from their and expecially Brian's faces

Axl on the other hand has been very elusive regarding his own ailments.

It's not that we are entitled to his full & detailed  health records  goes from city to city time and time again to take our money, giving zero interviews or PR (except having Duff / Fortus lie in interviews), turning up at the very last minute before showtime vocally unprepared, uninspired, unwilling to approach things differently & stubbornly selling & advertising his image as that of his prime when it is far from the case.

I love seeing Guns live whenever the opportunity allows it, but there's no defending Axl now.

And what difference Will make to you, knowing Axl ailments? You already Made your point quite clearly.

    And Brian was awful.

The second point stands (longer set). But as far as the first goes, with the exception of four songs (two of which from the recent album), all the rest were in the set on the tour with Axl, which is when they toured last time. Or Axl/DC doesn't count?

Axl/DC was a Marvel. Of course It counts

(I have posted the picture of Slash with the Metallica guys a page back - both pictures taken by Ross Halfin)

Thank you. Susan has a video of Lars and James seeing the concert from Susan's side. James even Is headbanging.

I would love to see a picture of the Ginger guy with him or Brian

I think he has sounded more or less the same the whole tour so far.

He does seem to have gained a bit of weight recently (although it may depend on the video or picture angle, too). Maybe it's from traveling on a tour bus for the NA tour and eating junk food from gas stations.

He has gained weight and I bet Is from that @Blackstar
