  1. I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up here somewhere (unless I missed it with the format change): https://rock101fm.iheart.com/featured/lend-a-helping-can/content/2024-04-05-zak-starkey-heads-up-superstar-project/

This would be the first Axl vocals recorded since Rock the Rock, correct?

EDIT: Nevermind; didn't know the project had a name - I now see the thread.  Should have known better.

Ooooof only like 2 or 3 shows in… this was a tour that’s been on the books since 2020… supposed to play off that summer. They kept pushing because of STs vocal issues and they were finally given the green light. Awful situation, I hope he heals…

Sad times. It wouldn't shock me if the rest of the Aerosmith tour was scrapped, and with only a handful of GN'R shows left, and those all being TBD with Axl's situation....could be saying good night to 2 of the best rock & roll bands ever at the same time.

I would regularly stream Perhaps and some of the other leaks from Soundcloud since I don't have the files on most of my devices, and both of the Perhaps links I used were removed in the last week.

Same thing happened to me.  I listened to it Sunday morning at around 10:00.  Went to play it in the car an hour later, and it was gone from my library, and only one version came up with a search.

    lol. Same.

Appetite started getting popular when I was 12 and it was clear to me that the guy on guitar whose face you can't see was singing It's So Easy on the tape until my much older sibling told me it was Axl. I thought Axl came in just to sing the high parts at the end of the song. :bitchfight:

HAHAHA - I thought the EXACT same thing when I bought the CD in '87!  But this is were the confession comes in; I was 23 years old

I'll be happy as the rest of you if anything actually gets released. But in my opinion, they're reading us on these forums and just fucking with us at this point. At least Fernando is.

I’ve been saying that for a long time.  All this song list bullshit is absolutely someone within TB just busting balls. Im sure the band doesn’t know/care, and with all the flack TB gets, their getting back at their critics.  All the while listening to fully mastered versions of The General, Atlas, Perhaps…

Worcester was also Gilby’s first shows with the band. I think it was played the 2nd night

Yup- I was there both nights.  Poor Gilby; he was mixed so low he might as well not even been on stage. 95% of the crowd didn't even realize Izzy was gone

Saw Bad Obesssion, Pretty Tied Up and a Piece of Anything Goes.. Axl sounded great and rehearsed. The low regisrer voice nailing it. It was working the whole PTU.. Should stick with it at the end too.  Can't wait to see the full Anything Goes, Down On The Farm and Nice Boys!! I have to admit Axl actually does look more fit too. Glad to see the elf boots gone!

Agree on all points- the lower register sounds so much better,  He definitely shed a few lbs since the last shows, which helps.  As fo r the "elf boots"   I think he's worn them mostly for support, since he's had so many ankle problems over the years, and requires heavy taping for him to perform. Hes learned to keep his movements fairly simple, which is the way he has to do it at this stage in his career.  Over all, pleasantly surprised at how good this was,
