I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up here somewhere (unless I missed it with the format change): https://rock101fm.iheart.com/featured/lend-a-helping-can/content/2024-04-05-zak-starkey-heads-up-superstar-project/
This would be the first Axl vocals recorded since Rock the Rock, correct?
EDIT: Nevermind; didn't know the project had a name - I now see the thread. Should have known better.

All this fuss about a song that nobody has any proof even exists. Its mere mention as a B side was clearly a ploy to move more units of Perhaps and drum up some interest in the (oddly added) end of tour shows which may likely be the last with this line-up.....

almost full show missing out the encore only.
Have they been using backing tracks on Perhaps the whole time? Tonight was the first time it seemed obvious (42:33).

Ooooof only like 2 or 3 shows in… this was a tour that’s been on the books since 2020… supposed to play off that summer. They kept pushing because of STs vocal issues and they were finally given the green light. Awful situation, I hope he heals…
Sad times. It wouldn't shock me if the rest of the Aerosmith tour was scrapped, and with only a handful of GN'R shows left, and those all being TBD with Axl's situation....could be saying good night to 2 of the best rock & roll bands ever at the same time.

Perhaps has 3.4 million views since its release; the new Stones song, Angry, has 10 million in 2 days. How is Perhaps doing on the charts?

Gotta say, i find the litho pretty tasteless. What does the person hanging from a tree represent to Kentucky? If it was lifted off the movie poster I'd get it. But its not.

Just heard Perhaps on Ozzys Boneyard-and it wasn’t 3 Chords & The Truth. First time….hopefully it starts getting regular play.

side note: even typing this makes me want to punch myself in the face for even bringing it up lol
Spit my coffee across the table reading that. Most of us need to punch ourselves in the face when it come to things we say and think about this band

His next show is Zach Brown- that explains a lot of things....

Oh fuck, Craig isn't gonna like this
I love Coma, and even I wouldn't want it as an encore. But this guy seems like he was hired to go and trash them. And he just made a Rowdy Roddy Piper comment. Wait a minute.......

Alot of empty seats....

Not that this is all that relevant, but the versions of Atlas Shrugged, Oklahoma and Quick Song that I had on Soundcloud (for years) disappeared out of my library last night (Perhaps disappeared the week before). Oddly, State of Grace is still there (for now...).

Shannon Gunns on Ozzys boneyard just mentioned the show in Hershey tonight, then said the band “released” a new song today, but she was “sticking with the classics” and played Brownstone 🤦♂️

Outside of the song(s) we are about to get, my wish list would be for Duff to do "Goin Down" (who owns the rights to that song?) and, if Axl can't put lyrics to it, have the band use Oklahoma as a mid show -so Axl can catch a breather- jam.

I would regularly stream Perhaps and some of the other leaks from Soundcloud since I don't have the files on most of my devices, and both of the Perhaps links I used were removed in the last week.
Same thing happened to me. I listened to it Sunday morning at around 10:00. Went to play it in the car an hour later, and it was gone from my library, and only one version came up with a search.

Sounds oddly similar to "Puff The Magic Dragon"......

Nuno somehow just dug a deeper hole for himself. He comes across as an absolute arrogant prick in all this. Not sure why he has that ego; he's a poor mans Warren DiMartini. Extreme were always a pretentious band, and quite frankly not very good. i recently saw Gary Cherone fronting the Joe Perry Project, and he was equally cringy.

lol. Same.
Appetite started getting popular when I was 12 and it was clear to me that the guy on guitar whose face you can't see was singing It's So Easy on the tape until my much older sibling told me it was Axl. I thought Axl came in just to sing the high parts at the end of the song.
HAHAHA - I thought the EXACT same thing when I bought the CD in '87! But this is were the confession comes in; I was 23 years old

The Mods need to adjust what makes a thread “hot”, because 5 pages of this word drool ain’t it…

There's NO WAY that someone in Tom's position, with his tenure with the band, is speaking out of turn. Yes, its odd to hear that sort of information from a member of the crew (albeit an important member), but this band doesn't do anything in typical fashion.

I'll be happy as the rest of you if anything actually gets released. But in my opinion, they're reading us on these forums and just fucking with us at this point. At least Fernando is.
I’ve been saying that for a long time. All this song list bullshit is absolutely someone within TB just busting balls. Im sure the band doesn’t know/care, and with all the flack TB gets, their getting back at their critics. All the while listening to fully mastered versions of The General, Atlas, Perhaps…

Duff "broke" the news about Glastonbury.....could this be the bands new way of dropping info- have Duff make some rando one-off comment? Beats paying a PR firm, especially when there's only a few thousand people who actually care......

Worcester was also Gilby’s first shows with the band. I think it was played the 2nd night
Yup- I was there both nights. Poor Gilby; he was mixed so low he might as well not even been on stage. 95% of the crowd didn't even realize Izzy was gone

Saw Bad Obesssion, Pretty Tied Up and a Piece of Anything Goes.. Axl sounded great and rehearsed. The low regisrer voice nailing it. It was working the whole PTU.. Should stick with it at the end too. Can't wait to see the full Anything Goes, Down On The Farm and Nice Boys!! I have to admit Axl actually does look more fit too. Glad to see the elf boots gone!
Agree on all points- the lower register sounds so much better, He definitely shed a few lbs since the last shows, which helps. As fo r the "elf boots" I think he's worn them mostly for support, since he's had so many ankle problems over the years, and requires heavy taping for him to perform. Hes learned to keep his movements fairly simple, which is the way he has to do it at this stage in his career. Over all, pleasantly surprised at how good this was,

The liner notes on AFD had a random quote as well that no one knew what it meant:"with your bitch slap rappin and your cocaine tongue, you get nothing done"...its a stretch, but maybe those quotes (Ihaven;t looked at them) are new lyrics?
