Saskatoon has a few fuck-ups, but the band was so good at that point that it’s almost charming
Well of course there were fuck ups; its Guns N' Roses! But musically they were very tight, and it was less of a "show"; no back up singers, excessive costume changes, etc. A much leaner, cleaner version.

A full pro shot of it leaked. It's from 93 and it's awesome. If you haven't seen it, you need to seek it out.
Probably the best show start to finish i have ever seen- and i was at the Chicago 92 show that was put out.

Holy shit - that sounds pretty god damn good. Glad Axl went with the lower voice for this one.

Your drunk
Or not drunk enough. DJ Ashba is absolutely wretched; one of the worst stage presence i've ever seen, and can't play his way out of a wet paper bag. I was at their UCAP show at Terminal 5 in NYC and he made me cringe so many times that i actually left the show.

Still, have to hear it but for those unaware check out Buckets Pike material has some of the best music you'll ever hear
There are tons of Buckethead songs that blow most of this stuff out of the water. But this one is catchy.....

Did he actually sing on Death, Jail & Rock N Roll by Michael Monroe, or was he just in the video?

These are 100% accurate and I think it's his best song lyrically since appetite or maybe ever
Strong candidate for best (funniest?) post of the year 😂😂

To me, it sounds EXACTLY like Estranged, right before Slash's first solo.

Agreed! I was listening to "Hospitality" by Buckethead and it reminded me of that guitar lead on "The General". I often wonder if Buckethead low key plays unheard GN'R guitar leads/solos on his Pikes albums...
Or did he introduce them to GNR and they were passed on, so he built on them and put them out....

Doesn't seem to have all the guitar parts.....

Good film, Great cast, Poor ending.
Great flick. Robin Wright was smokin hot in it.

I don’t usually care about a musicians “image” or “style” but his was embarrassingly laughable in gnr. That ridiculous faux top hat that he wore (notice he ONLY wore it in gnr, not sixx am)... was that meant to mock slash? Or to mimic him in some way? That ridiculous intro to WTTJ with the hogan ears? He was also, talent wise, the worst guitarist gnr ever had. When Finck left and was replaced by ashba, it was, to me, the end of nu gnr and any excitement I had about it.
This. He made Guns seem like Poison. All image and very little creativity.

12 hours ago, I was convinced I’d never hear this song in its entirety. Today, I blared it all the way to work- life is good!

What did you think? I thought the energy / crowd was a bit reserved, but I was in the balcony. Wish they played some deep GNR and VR cuts
I love Slash but I find the setlist and some of the SMKC songs to sound generic. Boulevard of Broken Hearts sounded great though.
Tour shirts weren’t great.
overall, I thought the Pier 17 show last year was a lot better
It was my first SMKC show as well, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not a huge fan of SMKC music, but I thought they were excellent live. Wicked Stone with the extended solo I thought was unbelievable - he was right in front of me for most of it. Anastacia was great, and i agree with someone else upthread that Slash seems to like playing with SMKC much more than with Guns- far more enthusiastic.

Caved in and got floor seats for port chester Wednesday. My first SMKC show
Haha so did I. The only solo Slash i have ever seen was Slash's Blues Ball at Brownies in NYC a million years ago. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance of the Cap in case you arent familiar with the area. Any idea who the opener is?

There was a lot of buzz around this documentary this weekend at the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival. One of the Festivals co-chairs is one of the documentary’s producers. His band played the Stone Pony on Saturday night, and Christopher Thorn from Blind Melon sat in with the band for an hour or so, and Shannon’s daughter Nico Blue sang a song as well. It was amazing.

Any idea when they may announce other shows?

I could see Izzy singing this - I like it alot. Hell, Duff could do it as well (although I'm not a fan of his voice).

Take out Coma and add Melissa singing yet ANOTHER cover song? Wow.

Far out i'm surprised it's more viewed than SCOM, it's a fucking long bastard as well. I'm loving the acoustic version atm....really wish they'd done it properly it would have been their Angie stripped back like that.
Ive always preferred the acoustic version. I was actually disappointed the first time I heard the UYI version, since I had heard the acoustic version first and hoped it would be more like that... but it ended up growing on me.

Much better performance on Shadow by Axl here. Stellar.
Absolutely NAILED IT! I'm impressed- gave him some heat the other day for being off, so today I give props for crushing it. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the show.

Since 0:29 mark, after the drum fill, frank is out of time (or slash?), and Axl is not singing yet. And after every drum fill, the band (or frank) lose the tempo again...
The last 30+ seconds the band is completely in sync, and Axl ends up being a half measure BEHIND... Of course, this is all off of cellphone footage over shitty NYC wifi (on my end), so who really knows. But as I ( and fellow Masshole Tom 😂) said- if they get this song going, it's going to be killer.
