April 8, 2016! Just a week after the first show, Slash and the crazy ginger just starting to work together after a few decades of cold war. Why would Slash wish one of the missing members a happy birthday if he was the one who left him out?

Axl can go and make an album with Angus, someone who can kick his ass and get him working in a reasonable time frame.

Izzy to release more solo work. 

That, for me personally, would make me happier than having Fortus, Frank and Melissa on a GnR album.

I told you I was completely ill the day of the show.  Unable to eat.  A nervous wreck. Felt like I was betraying Izzy.  Then thinking well, maybe Izzy will show up.  

And then I got there. And I forgot about all of that for the most part (except for when they played DTJ and when I would catch a glimpse of Fortus on the screen).  I had an amazing time.  You will, too.

I really don't think Axl's the one causing the problems. I think it's one of the other two *cough*slash*cough* or TB fucked something up.

I've said it before in this thread but Axl is like a child with his emotions, he can't hide them. If he was pissed at Izzy he would've shown it by now.

So I have tried to blame this on Slash in other conversations on Twitter (and maybe on here, I can't remember?) and I got ANNIHILATED.  I was afraid for my life.

Like, not really.  But really.

I hate this band so much that I love them.

To add onto the Axl/Izzy "drama" discussion above, I've actually had some really good convos with a big Axl fan (who also has a lot of respect for the Iz) over the last couple of days.  Call it an Izzy/Axl summit, if you will, and we were their representatives.   

Anyway, we talked about a ton of stuff, but she was saying that she believes that Axl is really torn up about Izzy not being there.  Which I think is possible. I think Axl is probably an emotional disaster deep down.  Not even deep down, actually.  He just is.  Anyway, we went thru all the scenarios - the money, Izzy just wanting to move on, some sort of weird falling out between them - but we just can't fucking figure out why he isn't there.  I really think money was some sort of factor otherwise Izzy wouldn't have tweeted about it.  He just wouldn't have. But WHY was money the issue?  WHY wouldn't he be paid equally when we all know Axl is like srsly obsessively in love with him? 

Re: the Hall of Fame stuff - correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the RRHOF induction was in Apr 2012.  If there was any bad blood btw them over this, then why did Izzy play with GNR later that year at the Hard Rock???

I guess at the end of the day if the answer is that there is an Izzy/Axl bad blood issue that's causing this .... DEBACLE .... that answer is still left with a question mark.  Because what the hell happened between the Hard Rock performances in 2012 and 2016 that fucked things up?  

Gaaaaaaaaaah. I just don't know what to do!!!!  But I feel like a Backstreet Boys gif may help.

I have never listened to Chinese Democracy.  Nor will I ever listen to Chinese Democracy.  I have an inkling that it's no good, but I can't say that definitively.

I will say that it was a beautiful night here in Nashville, and as I drove over to my friend's house, I rolled the windows down and cranked up Izzy's version of "Memphis".  And that is a song that I CAN say - definitively - is OUTSTANDING.

Ok so take this as a semi-drunk person talking  but I really like Art's article. I think Art is a genuinely good dude.  I do understand about the address, though.  I think Art really respects Izzy as an artist/songwriter/musician.  But I did kinda like how he explained how/why Axl took over the band (if y'all remember that part).  I've always been such an Izzy can do no wrong person that it was an interesting perspective.
