No that was Houston I think 

The whole NA leg Summer 2016 was amazing, I don’t remember a single bad show from that leg, but Houston is the obvious answer, especially because of Axl sounding great on usually weak songs (YCBM, RQ). 

But Arlington was also quite good I think. The Patience outro from Glendale is still one of my favorite moments of the whole reunion. I remember a strong version of Jungle from Chicago (don’t know which night though) and of course OTGM and My Michelle with Steven from Cincinnati.

There was a great recording of that show on YouTube, somebody uploaded the whole show (I think?) in seperate videos from all the way back in the stadium. Great overview of the screens and pyro and all that stuff. Obviously it’s not on YouTube anymore now 🙄

Damn writing all of this makes me miss the buzz we had in 2016. Axl sounded awesome, I followed every show on YouTube and these days I didn’t even watch a single song from the SA tour so far

But on topic, I think Axl‘s mid range and high pitched rasp are both gone forever. It’s a shame that he doesn’t decide to switch to his baritone voice for most of the set, because it sounded amazing in London. This current lineup is tighter than ever since 2016 imo and if Axl switched to baritone, they’d be a real force in a live setting
