    What an absolute nightmare…

3 times I watched a concert and said “ok, that’s it, it’s over!”

    1. Rio 2011

    2. Bridge School 2012

    3. Hershey 2021

Hershey was next level. The general vibe on the forum was probably at its lowest at that point that I'd ever experienced in my nearly 20 years here. Even things like Rio and Bridge School almost became more of a meme than genuine fear, but Hershey was a different beast. Even the most optimistic of fans seemed to have a "well, it might actually be over now..." attitude immediately following the gig.

Yeah. In any other franchise this would be crazy, but since Halloween is the "choose your own adventure" franchise anyway, it would be the most logical way to go. ;) Danielle Harris would be interested in that.

I always get a kick out of explaining the various timelines to new fans at work, although I generally just watch them all chronologically when I give them a go and just ignore trying to make any sense of it all.

Well, that cliffhanger is best left as a cliffhanger and never fully resolved. ;)
I try to tune out the Thorn thing. I mean, not even the movie makers knew what it was. Other than that, I'm pleased with the movie, all other problemes aside (different mask/house).
But I would really love, if they would pick up the story with Danielle Harris after 5.

Now that is a Halloween film I could get behind.

Maybe that's what's next. We've had the retcon Strode trilogy. Now we need a retcon Jamie Lloyd trilogy.

Yeah. But then again, how would had really play out? Having a little girl being the villain? What to do with Michael? It was a great ending. But to properly following it up and turn it into a good movie, I don't know. They did well enough with 5, just showin g what an effect her ordeal in 4 had, but otherwise let her be the cute, innocent little girl.

I don't necessarily have the answer to that. I just find 5 to be a letdown after the excellent 4 in general. I do think there were probably better ways to explorer that idea than what we ended up with. Her being mute and having some weird Force connection with Michael plus the onslaught of the cult stuff is where I really feel like the series starting losing focus. I never get the sense of a payoff to the cliffhanger ending of 4.

Truthfully I would have rather had her be the villain. At least it would have been something fresh which I think is where the series keeps making the same mistakes by trying to rehash things but never advance them.

  5. Halloween 2018 felt like Terminator meets Taken meets Halloween. I definitely got more "vigilante thriller" out of it than anything resembling the original movie, but I did find it to be a satisfying watch.

I'll always ponder the "what could have been" of the ending of Halloween 4 - probably my favorite of all the sequels. I like Halloween 5 enough but I feel like the whole "Jamie Lloyd following in his footsteps" thing could have been far more greatly explored had they continued in that direction.

No big defense. Just my opinion. Isn't that what message boards are for?

Sure it is. Like how I voiced mine - in jest - and you insisted on telling me how I should feel:

"Go with realistic expectations or don't go."

Based on your responses it would seem as though if somebody doesn't share your same opinion, their comments are boring - to use your words.

Interesting you say it wasn't defensive when it referred to things that had nothing to even do with my initial comment. It was a jab at Axl's voice - and not even a serious one - and somehow it turns in to well at least Slash and Duff are back and they play three hours.

So, the Media ragged and dragged Charles for being sour and I'll tempered as he prepared to sign Documents after becoming King. Seriously? His Mother just died. And his Father died the year before. That's both of your parents dead in two years. He's not exactly going to be rainbows and sunshine. 😒🙄🤦‍♂️

To have both of your parents live to be nearly 100 and become orphaned at 73. What a rough life.

Shock horror. A man who's 60 doesn't sing every song like he could just over 30 years ago. I'm still happy to go see GN'R. They still play three hours which is twice as much as they're obliged to play. Slash n Duff being there is another big plus. Axl's made a real effort to get in shape and sounds great on most songs. Go with realistic expectations or don't go. But comments like yours are just boring.

And yet you still replied to it. Not to mention my comment was made facetiously. Personally I can't imagine being that bothered by strangers on the Internet having a different opinion than me but to each their own.

Holy shit I stopped listening to these in Pike #49.

Now we're at Pike #351. It's overwhelming, impossible to listen to all of these.

Listen to one a day for the next 351 days. By then you should only have about 200 more to catch up on.

Here are my main 3. The Tissot is a killer option that’s way less than Omega, @James Bond

Love the Seiko as well! I love blue dials. There's just something so elegant and sharp about them.

Anyone on here into watches? Been getting into them the past few years. Don’t have anything crazy (yet), but it’s fun to look!

One day I’d like to buy a nice Omega Seamaster. I’ve wanted one since I was a kid watching a Pierce Brosnan Bonds

Honestly the same reason I love the Omegas so much. Tissot makes some nice watches that are extremely similar in look and vibe to the Seamaster with a much smaller price tag. Check out the Seastar series!

I've loved watches since I was a kid. I genuinely feel naked if I forget to wear one. I've got nothing overly fancy - a couple Fossil ones, a Guess, and a Seiko. Omega is the dream.

For what it's worth, I've seen the Tomorrow Never Dies era Seamasters sell for $1500 used. Certainly more affordable than the current crop!

This is the 1st result i got when i googled "Bond Omega Seamaster" https://www.ernestjones.co.uk/webstore/d/1159984/Omega+Seamaster+James+Bond+Numbered+Special+Edition+Watch/

But even at £2k what does that watch do my £18 one doesn't? I get everyone has a hobby, and fair play to you for it but i fail to understand dropping £2-3k on a single watch

The same can be said for any hobby. Why buy a $2000 Fender guitar when you can just play a $300 Squier? Why buy a physical film when you can download it for free? Why drop $1000 on a set of golf clubs when the guy on Craigslist is asking $50 for his?

Different strokes for different folks. Less about the functionality of it and more about the craftsmanship and passion for the hobby.
