And I guess I'm with everyone hoping that Ep3 isn't the end.

Believe they said Ep 1-3 will finish a story before HL3 which will be awesome!!

The Halo series as a whole is utterly overrated. Halo 1 was only seen as such an advancement because it was a console FPS. In terms of PC FPS games it's only doing what a million games did before. As for Halo 3, it's easy, short, decent graphics, same old gunning down of aliens. Get Orange Box, all the games in there are much better.

100% agreed.

2 weeks after Halo 3 came out the Orange Box did, went out and picked it up and had so much fun with it.

Halflife 2 is simply stunning and the best FPS ever, Episode 1 was very fun, and Episode 2 was better then 1 as it felt more varied. The fun of having a game and 2 expansions which took up about 3 times as much time as Halo 3 if being a quick run through was great and it was the most fun I had with a FPS since Goldeneye.

Portal was stunning for its concept, humor, narative and originality.

Far superior to Halo 3 and much better value for money, 5 games for the price of Halo 3.

so i bought halo 3 today (pre owned). can anyone tell me why this game gets so much credit? i've played 10 minutes into the first level and it's nothing i haven't played 50 times before. i walk through the jungle in a set pathway and i shoot the bad guys who pop up randomly. is it all like this?

the thing bout the Halo series is that the first one was ground breaking as it was the first really big FPS on the old gen of consoles (Xbox, GC, PS2) and was ground breaking for that generation and likewise with Halo 2's online system which was simply amazing at the time, Halo 3 on the other hand while being a solid game isnt as good as the others, story is a little confusing and single player is short and in my opinion the online whilst being good suffers due to a lack of quality maps, it is the series which deserves credit but not this game in itself...

i enjoyed it but was left disappointed and this is from a 360 fanboy, only an 8/10 at most...

I don't get the God of War love. I've tried to get into it but it just doesn't click.

On paper it's a really awesome idea, throwing around and kicking the shit out of loads of dudes with big flashy combos... but I find it a bore to play. I thought at first it was just because I was playing it as a pure button masher, so I tried to more complex combos and whatnot, but it still did nothing for me. For some reason the spectacle of it all is totally lost on me. I just don't have any 'Holy shit.' moments from it at all. Maybe it's because I played them both after the likes of Gears and Resi 4... *shrugs*

i found it fun

but ended up detesting the whole press buttons in time combo thing which everygame under the sun is copying now...

i mean how do the developers think that pressing buttons while watching some events onscreen is fun is beyond me...

meh what do i know?

If you wait another day they're releasing the full version of the creature creator . You're supposed to pay for it but I'm sure it'll be up on torrent sites as well, the demo gives you a pretty good indication but.

i can download the full version now if i pay but dont want to atm, ill buy the disk on friday when its in the shops...

can create some really fucked up things on it...

but is a little limited atm...

really makes me want the game though

2 of those games are out already but i've exams starting next week so i don't get to play anything

also does anyone else think that Gears of War 2 is being too over hyped? the first one was good, it wouldn't have been nearly as popular without microsofts very vast advertising and pushing. but now they're re-releasing the first game again? and they're expecting to sell 10 million on it's release date maybe it's just me, but the 360 has alot more going for it than gears of war

and Gears of War 2 is extremely over hyped. Simple fact is that it wouldn't have sold half as many titles if halo 3 had been out at the time. It was the game that tied gamers over until halo 3.

and Gears of War 2 will tie them over till Halo 4...

oh wait...

I'm not ashamed to admit that I am a casual WoW player and have to agree that most of the players and bonkers...

And its not like theres one type there are just so many, you have people who play the entire game in character and give their own character a backstory, players who just go out there to scam other people, players who just go around killing lower levels...

It's players like that I can't stand its just so fucking annoying...

i went to game today to see if they were selling it and they had a full display empty and a guy who said they were sold out and i spoke to a sales guy and he laughed and was like "you're bout the tenth guy to come here looking distressed like that... dont worry though we are just setting up the display."
