  1. To expand: I'm too generous for my own good sometimes. But I'm working on it. This can sometimes be a contradiction to what I said about giving zero fucks.

I suppose it depends on the mood I'm in.

I've been absent for a good while. Travelled, lived away for a bit...lots of things that meant I didn't have time to use the intawebz.

I'm off work right now, just stopping by to check this place out.

  2. Been away for aeons, may as well re-introduce myself.

    1. What's your real (first) name?

I'd rather not say. No offence.

    2.Where are you from?

    London, England.

    3. How do you bring home the bacon?

I'm an assistant manager in a popular beauty store. Plus I also act in films, little bit o' this, little bit o' that.

    4. Are you married, dating or single?

Single and can't be bothered to mingle.

    5. What's your excuse for spending too much time on here?

I don't spend a lot if time on here.

    6. Justin Bieber. Pity or punch?

    I'll go with c) Kill.

    7. Do you play a musical instrument?

I can semi play the guitar, badly.

    8. What would your closest friend or partner say is your best/worst trait?

    MY TITS.

LUL. Probably how chill and generous I am.

Worst? Sometimes, I give zero fucks.

    9. Tell us an embarrassing pastime....

    I got nothing...

    10. Do you actually like Guns N Roses?

    Of course.

  3. Managed to nab some free standing tix for the 31/05 show - got there during the first song. Was great seeing Izzy! As we got there pretty late we just kinda chilled out near the back/middle. I was wearing ginormous platforms so could see. My feet were freakin' killing me though.

Bumped into a veerrryyy intoxicated Binge_and_Slash as we were exiting the arena (does he still post here??). Sorry we couldn't see you home safely dude :P

We then had seated tix for the 1/06 gig. Our seats were quite crap, so, we made our way to the better seats - stage right, right down the front. Stayed there the whole night.

I enjoyed this night more, largely due to the fact that we were sitting and had copious amounts of chocolate with us this time around.

Talk about it being slag central in the photographers pit though - there must've been, like, 30-odd girls down there at one point. This guy with a pony tail and goatee seemed to be orchestrating it all - where they stood, who stood where, even when they should leave.

At one point Ashba came down towards the front of the stage - slightly off the stage, towards the crowd. This one brunette chick in a black dress turned around, and attempted to kinda 'grind' on his guitar'....even though he was about 5ft away from her. Hilarious.

  4. Lesee, seena few films recently.

    The Dictator.

In my opinion, not the best film by Sacha Baron Cohen. Unlike his other films, this film was entirely scripted (at least, it looked like it was) which made it lose something the other films had. Namely, it being funny.

    The Raid

For what it is, it's quite good. Lots of very well choreographed martial arts-esque fighting. I heard Hollywood are going to remake it, which will make it crap by default.

    Avengers

Yeah, it's...action packed. Good film if you like CGI.

Jeez, what else? I've seen bits of Dark Shadows. Johnny Depo's shtick is getting kinda old now.

  5. Me - I think. I'm not at home at the moment though. I assume they'll come soon?

Has a support act been announced?

I think Ticketmaster say that if you haven't received your tickets 5 days before the gig, then let them know ASAP. Not sure about other companies.

I believe Thin Lizzy are supporting. I shall also be at the June 1st gig, should be a blast!

  6. Bungalow 8, huh? He's probably staying at St Martins Lane hotel then! Both the hotel and Bungalow 8 are really nice - I'm guessing it's not like he actively seeked out a gay club...they just happened to have a Gay Night that night--it happens, no biggie--I've lost count of the times I've walked into a club and found out they're having some kind of gay night! Gay nights are fun--can't blame him for staying :D

  7. Favorite Punk debut-

I don't know enough about Punk or own enough albums by Punk bands to answer this.

    Neil Young or Bob Dylan-

Shiiiiit. Today? Bob Dylan. Tomorrow? Who knows?

Favorite current artist/band on the charts-

    Florence + The Machine.

Artist/band you would like to listen to more of soon-

I'd like to listen to more of Tame Impala. They're meant to be good.

Favorite music scene in a given period-

Music 'scene'? Uh, Classic Rock, I guess.

The best singer ever (at least this week)-

At the moment, my ear is liking Paul Rodgers as well as Crosby, Stills & Nash. Especially Stills.

    AC/DC: Bon or Brian-

    Bon

Artist/band you listened to tons of in the past, and wish you still would, but you never feel like it-

    Funnily enough, GnR.

Biggie or Pac or I don't like Rap-

    Pac!

    Most irksomely popular artist/band-

There's tons, but if people enjoy listening to their music and they get something from it, then who am I to trash it?

  8. went to see these guys at a small pub venue by the bay last month. small venue, small crowd, the floor was rocking. they were in your face, powerful, full of energy. the pit was moshing ..and i was so impressed this high profile band still did gigs like that. Paid forty bucks. ouch.

it's great, isn't it? They did a gig at a 250 capacity London venue in August...I think tickets were about £11. They actually prefer smaller venues. Forty bucks though! I hope you got your moneys worth!

  9. I've held out on listening to the songs on MySpace, 'cos I want to wait until I actually get it then I'll settle down and put it on. However, from what I've heard, I really like White Feather (as Andrew has said, it's a bit Stones-ey and I see that, but it's still a good tune), In the Morning, Far Away...I also like it's title track, Cosmic Egg. I've only heard the new songs from seeing them perform them at their gigs and jam sessions. Figures that I'd like the ballad-ey ones....they're easier to play on acoustic and are thus jammed the most.

  10. Yes! I am! My bf and his friend are both guitarists - his friend, Sam, absolutely worships Steve Lukather. His main guitar is the Steve Lukather Music Man one. Great, great, band of musicians.

  11. Saw Harry Potter last night. *POTENTIAL SPOILERS*

I didn't exactly have high expectations for it or anything but, as the majority of other people said; 'What a load of shite'. I can't remember even reading the book - though, it's in my book cupoard, so I must have. The film focuses a lot on the main characters' relationships with other members of the opposite sex. So, Ron gets a girlfriend, Hermione's all jealous/depressed because of this and Harry's portrayed as a bit of a lothario. Obviously, this film is highlighting the fact that they've really grown up and are now adults. Ok, we get that. Not that much information is given away about The Half Blood Prince either - even though that's the name of the film, it doesn't seem to be much of an issue. Draco gets all darker and mysterious in this one and barely talks, he's just seen skulking about in empty rooms and dark corridors, with the occasional conversation with Snape. This film doesn't seem as dark as previous ones. More about them getting laid.

Hopefully the next film will start directly where this one left off, as it finished with a massive cliff hanger - actually, considering the seriousness of what happened towards the end, it ended on a bit of an anti-climax. All in all, I foudn it quite slow-paced and it's definitely not the best Harry Potter film made.

  12. Saw 'Watchmen' last night. It was a little different to how I imagined it'd be; I thought it would be action packed with fights galore, but it wasn't. The relationships between the characters seem to be the focal point. There's a lot of flashbacks as well which, at one point, annoyed me slightly. All in all, it was a good film. It was 2 and a half hours!

  13. I <3 The Black Crowes!

I saw them live for the first time last year and loved it! Lessee, a few of my favourite tunes by them are: 'Sometimes salvation' 'Remedy' (I always request this at this Classic Rock night I sometimes go to, it's great to dance to) 'My Morning song' 'Cursed diamond' 'She talks to angels (acoustic version)' and 'Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye'. Love them!

  14. In the clearing stands a boxer, and a fighter by his trade and he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down or cut him

til he cried out in his anger and his shame.........

I am leaving, I am leaving, but the fighter still remains -- The Boxer, Simon and Garfunkel.

" 'Fool!' said I 'you do not know

Silence like a cancer grows' " -- The Sound of Silence, Simon and Garfunkel

    "I know no luxury

Of knowing what your eyes read

    I know one million ways

To always pick the wrong thing to say" --Bad luck blue eyes goodbye, The Black Crowes

    "Saw you early this morning

With your brand new boy and your cadillac

You're gone for something and I know you won't be back

    I know you're dying baby

And I know you know it too

    Every time I see you

I just don't know what to do" --Slim slow slider, Van Morrison

I can't possibly pick one line from 'Madame Geaprge' by Van Morrison, the whole thing is a masterpiece.

"And Im caught one more time

    Up on cyprus avenue

And Im conquered in a car seat

Not a thing that I can do

    I may go crazy

Before that mansion on the hill" -- Cyprus Avenue, Van Morrison.

^Cyprus Avenue is about a 15 minute drive from my house ^_^

  15. He played 'Lola' for me ^_^

It's quite suprising how scabby he is..literally, covered in dirt and scabs. Taller that you'd think--must be over 6' 3". They always keep an eye on him in the guitar shops in Denmark Street--he's tried to steal guitars a few times.

A band I know supported Babyshambles a while back--'shambles didn't get on until very late. From what I saw, they're ok live--nothing special, I only stayed for about 3 songs though.

  16. Am I the only one who finds Oasis' music a drag? i can think of a million better things to do rather than listening to an Oasis album--like drinking petrol, watching paint dry etc.

This isn't a dig at Noel and Liam (I've actually met Liam a few times and he's a nice guy)--I just can't stand their music.
