I think that it`s up to Axl to show us tracks in 2008. He tried to find a "Perfect" mix for each song. And it killed CD. That`s why it`s a soap songs in 2008. Songs can`t be and mustn`t be perfect. They must be alive and powerful. Axl fucked up right in that moment.

Well the main problem was to have everyone on the mix...you cant have 2 drummers and 5 guitar players on the same song

Lol I think you're confusing 'obsessing' with 'curiosity'.  I am curious to know who leaked the tracks.  If any of you say you aren't the least bit curious I'd be surprised.  I'm not going on a tirade to find out.  I think the story behind these leaks is likely to be fascinating.

Try to not encourage your curiosity before the leaks comes.

Rumours and talk about the leakers are not good for the leaks.

    U understand that?

so a big part of the song is made from old guitar tracks (because Robin left more than half a year before this was mixed), and the rest was made by absolutely fresh addition to the band (because Buckethead joined very early 2000, and this song was supposed to be mixed on 27th March 2000).

Paul Huge on rhytm guitar I guess and Josh Freese on drums for sure I guess.

The picture says 8 november 2000

    Josh freese instead of Brain.

If iremember correctly Brain didnt start recording his drum parts until after Rock in Rio.

Im sure that he said in an interview that it took months even for him to get the musical sheet music of what Josh played. So i think its highly unlikely that Brain had all the drums done by August 2000

Well the recordings are dated November 2000.

I don't get the excitement, this song is really 'generic' as some would say. Who was included in that recording? First solo is probably the worst I've heard in GNR history.

The first solo I bet Paul Tobias and right after Robin .

The line up should be Ax Tommy Robin Paul Bucket Brain Pitman Reed

See. People say, ''nobody cares about new material'', and that ''people will just whine about new material if it was released as they're stuck in nostalgia mode'', yet one leaked song proves this is untrue. One ''unfinished'' leaked song has generated a tremendous amount of active users and replies here - look below - and generally has been well received with one or two exceptions.

In part youre right, but think about it we're a very small part of the stadiums that GNR are playing.

Some facebook pages didnt mentioned it yet

Maybe not but it's honestly weird that everything except the parts that leaked earlier sounds bad. And listen to the "all in good faith" -part. Axl's voice changes there suddenly to a much more autotuned voice. It's just very weird to me that as soon as the earlier leaked demo ends, Axl's voice changes so drastically to autotune. Why would they do that? It just screams fake, but I don't know. If it's fake it's very well made that's for sure.

Also the "what we had" part on verse 2 sounds exactly like the "what we had"-part in verse 1, like it's copy pasted. All in all there's not that much new vocals here and the new vocals sound more edited than the vocals from the earlier leaks. At some parts it sounds like an evader remix honestly. Instrumentally it's absolutely terrible, except the parts that had leaked earlier.

The parts that leaked earlier sound like one of the best GNR songs ever and all the new parts here sound like the worst GNR song ever honestly. And because the new vocals sound so edited and copy pasted it makes me sceptical. But it could very well be a rough demo. I don't really care. All I know is that the only parts that sound any good to me are the parts that had leaked earlier. :shrugs:

I can't believe I dislike this more than DieselDaisy. What's going on in this world?

You are still with the doubt?

You call yourself fan of this band?
