So let me get this straight.

Slash might have lied or be a little bit foggy on the history = you guys saying he tried or tries to rewrite the history of certain events.And you guys condemn him for it.

While Axl went and re-recorded AFD,trying to totally erase GNRs past and that's all fucking fine and dandy with many in this forum.

And the thing about the extended lineup on ph 335 I think.The paragraph from that page that was posted,Slash didn't say in that paragraph,that the extended lineup joined them at the show.I haven't read the book yet,so if I am taking it out of context,post what was written before or after that paragraph.Because what was posted,Slash nowhere in that paragraph said the extended lineup joined them at that show!

I don't care that Axl has been asked all the tough questions in magazines and shit.I want to see him asked those tough questions on some form of video/tv.Its totally different reading what he had to say versus watching his actual reactions.

Axl hasn't kept the band going,he's kept the name going. If Axl had kept the band going,he would have tried even harder to keep the old band together.

I'd like to see an all acoustic set. I watch that video very often with the AFD line up

Is it just me?It doesn't seem like Axl dances around like the other guy all that much.The other guy seems to have more the moves of David Lee Roth and Steven Tyler rolled together lol.

My opinion is that Axl tries his damnednest to prove everybody wrong,yet he will never admit that everyone else is/was right, when it comes down to a reunion.

He knows that the majority of the classic Guns fans hates his version/vision of what GNR should/could/would be.

And just like some religious sects,Axl tried/tries to shove his vision/version of Guns down people's throat,and the end result was a lot of them choosing sides or walking away.They didn't want or do want what he has to offer,unless it would at least be the UYI line up.

I don't think it would backfire tho.May be like it was in the clubs days,word of mouth ....... That type of stuff.

But then again,you would have MTV,VH1,radio stations around the world belting it out as loud as they possibly can.Promoting that yes it is a fact that the Old Guns were back together,without the band having to do a lot of pushing them for promotion. All because all radio stations, music channels,magazines etc know that's what a lot of fans around the world want,the old guys.

Would have to be either AFD line up.Or if it's not possible with Steven,Replace him with Matt.If a song like Bad Obsession is played,would have to have Teddy.And I like the horns being played live on Mama Kin and Move To The City. So I would have to have horn players. Wouldn't have to be the UYIs girls tho.And if Izzy wouldn't do it,I'd take Gilby Clarke.

So for myself,none of the newer guys.They just don't sound right to me.

Axl will probably be the one inducting them.Just to piss off the HOF and old GN'R fans that bitched when he didn't show up to his own induction.

If ya have Bad Obsession in the set,ya gotta have Teddy.Its just not right without the harmonica lol.

For me it's pre 97,cause to me Guns-N-Roses is or was not just Axl Rose.And that is not a dig at Axl,cause he's my most favorite GN'R guy.

Not that I really care since as far as I'm concerned GN'R's last show was Farm Aid and it's been a different band ever since then & up until that point they didn't have a reputation for being late.......but I think there is an element to truth to the whole "power going to head" thing since whenever they were opening or playing festivals or whatever else where if they weren't on stage on time they wouldn't get to play, they always made it on stage on time. It was only after there were no consequences of being late (apart from fines), that they started going on late. And to me that just screams power going to your head and disrespect to the fans, whether intended, realized or whatever else.

That's what I have always said or thought.If he could get on stage when they were doing festivals and were the opening band.Than why on earth can he not so it now?

I mean that's like having a doctors appointment at 9 am,you don't wake up til 8,and by the time you are actually ready to go it's 8:30/9:00 am and you have to travel sometimes up to an hour or longer.

I have one doctor that if you would pull that kind of shit,she ain't gonna see your ass.And she also has it posted that you may be refused her services all together!

But if he knew that he wouldn't be ready to go on or had to psyche himself up or whatever,in order to go onstage.Couldn't he have started working on doing so,before closer to stage time?

I mean if show time was say 9 pm,and he knows he needs extra time.Then why wait til 8 or 8:30 to "prep" yourself for a 9 O'clock show?I mean all the other guys were there hours before hand.

I picture a helluva a lot of BOOS,way more than there was when talking about Axl without even having to say his name.

Hell,maybe they should have given in to Axl's wants/demands.Maybe that's what it would have taken to wake him the fuck up!Was for everyone to love the old guys and to boo his ass off the stage in front if millions.

I really don't think that Slash is working as hard as some(and not just those in this thread/forums)that he has to.

Slash has always been one to not sit still.Thing is,being "who" he is,allows him to be able to dip his toes into other things.

Yes,he promotes the stuff he is doing at the time.He used to do it with Guns stuff too!That's what people in the entertainment industry are suppose to do.

I'm not saying that to take up for him.Other celebrities do it too!They promote their movies,sitcoms,etc.And so do other musicians.Its called work.

And with as much product(s) that Slash releases,he in turn has to promote it.Hence,why you see him everywhere.

There's also clips of Axl having fun with the old guys too.Like the one where he taps Slash on the shoulder then goes around the other side of him.I don't care what anyone says,Axl did have fun on that tour.It might not have been the greatest for him,but it wasn't all the hellacious torture that he made/makes it out to have been.

We've heard the story of Axl and Steven fighting in Vicki Hamilton's apartment,but were there other actual physical fights between the guys?
