Breast cancer seems to be hitting women earlier and earlier now. I was diagnosed at 23yrs almost 24 yrs old. It was like two months before my birthday. I have a family history of it,one of my mom's half sisters had it. And one if her aunts.

We all went thru the whole chemo,radiation,mastectomies etc. My mom's sister passed several yrs ago,but not from breast cancer,it was leukemia. Her aunt is still living.

So far for me,I have been cancer free for almost 14yrs. My cancer was stage 3, and hadn't spread anywhere,but was getting really close to getting into lymph nodes. I was lucky.

So with all of my blabbering so far lol

I wish you the best of luck. Everyone tolerates these treatments differently. I hope you don't have many troubles with yours.

In West Virginia it's pronounced the same. Dawn,Don and On all pronounced with an awwww as in awning. Which sounds like the word on.

How do you pronounce the word or letter I?In the southern most parts of WV,a lot of people pronounce it the same as eye. In other words,it is a short i sound not a long I. Lol

One time in a restaurant in a northern part if WV. I had asked for a straw/drinking straw. The waitress looked at me like I had three heads lol. And asked where I was from. I told her WV. She said she had never heard straw pronounced that way. To others it sounds like I am putting an L on the end of straw. Lol

Stephanie's Wikipedia says Dylan was born in 1990. And Stephanie wasn't involved with Axl until mid 91. So why Beta's profile says 1990?Who knows?

rock4eva I read somewhere that the zoo that had Marius was not wanting for him to be bred in other zoos. Due to they wanted that breed of giraffes within a controlled group. So in other words,they didn't want a different breed of giraffes mixing with whatever breed Marius was. They are trying to increase his breeds population.

And the way that I took all of this was ,the zoo that had him,didn't trust an outside zoo to not breed him. Even if another zoo said they wouldn't breed him. So instead they killed him.

To me it seems that Axl had jumped to the same thoughts as everybody else about the giraffe. And how it was wrong. And then he done a little more research into it. And saw how both sides had good points. But that the zoo didn't really come across with their points,so that the public understood their views on it. And seems Axl doesn't agree with them allowing the public to view the actual kill and feeding of Marius to the lions.

My take on the whole situation. Would have been to sterilize Marius,sell him to one of the zoos offering to buy him. Use the money they would've gotten from the sale and funded the program further. Win win for everyone. Marius would have lived and still served an educational purpose at another zoo.

And the zoo that killed him. Still would have the free space for other giraffes that would be fit for the breeding program.

Although,I wish that Axl would quit being or trying to sound or come across,as so damn philosophical and just use plain damn English! LOL

There is nothing wrong with being on meds for any kind of mental illness. None.

I honestly think if it wasn't for antidepressants,I would not be alive. I have never attempted suicide or anything. But if not for meds,I feel that I would have withdrawn myself from the world so bad. That I would have just shriveled up and died.

The mind can only handle so much depression,things that happened throughout your life. Going through things at a young age. And dealing with those things and trying your damnedest to wrap your head around it. Wondering why me?

And I have never been physically/sexually abused. Emotionally yes. But I have had physical stuff happen to me health wise. Like breast cancer at the age if 23. Major surgery at 4yrs old for a bone disease. Among other health stuff. It's hard to live life ,when society is so judgmental image wise. When your body looks like a patchwork quilt.

All of that on top of abandonment issues. I just don't think I could do it without meds.And even with them I have my days of withdrawing from the outside world. Like the past several days,I just didn't feel like facing the world. But today,today was a fucking good day

And sometimes you just have to face life and accept the thing you can not change.

Duff and slash really turned their lives around. Both of them are sober and healthy. They even gave up smoking which I thought would never happen. They are both very lucky to even be alive after what they put their bodies through,

Which is why I can't understand that Axl doesn't or won't at least talk to Slash now.

But then again,if it were to all work miraculously work out and they talked or worked together again. Just how would it all go down with practically everyone being sober/clean but Axl?Cause Axl still drinks doesn't he?

I find that so odd in the GN'R world. All the dopies/drunks are clean now and Axl still parties,granted on a less extreme as the others. But back in the day,it was proclaimed that Axl was the cleaner one and everybody else was fucked up.
