  1. This whole Chinese era is such a fucking drag. We've been going this road for over 20 years now and it still hasn't stopped. I hope they just release what's left from that era and move on. That's my hope for 24. Enough with all the CD era stuff. Yes, we got some good songs out of it, but the band needs to create its own new legacy and that's not gonna work with axl's leftovers. That being said, I really hope they release monsters.

Has anyone ordered the CD from that Japanese website? I've read stories how people were scammed by the site and how they increased the shipping costs once the item had been paid. Someone even claimed that his PayPal was hacked after buying from that website.

I want the CD. It's also avaliable for preorder on ebay but it is more expensive there.

Where are those stories from? My PayPal is still intact

he's a good poster imho. Just seems deeply let down for some childish reason. Like this is not Gn'R and it's not just rock music we feel so strongly about heh

He may be in general, but saying that slash must probably hate this song without having any clue about anything whatsoever is a prime example of toxicity among fanbases like this.

How does a one off release of essentially a B-side tarnish their legacy? Does this song somehow erase all the prior songs and albums that are loved? Anyone can dislike it for whatever reason they choose, but to claim it does anything to their legacy or their historical greatness is just foolish hyperbole and rhetoric.

Just don't listen and play what you do like. The release does nothing to hinder anyone from enjoying their previous work.

typical exaggeration by mygnr folks who are freaking out over nothing. happens every time.

I rather listen to My World. This songs sucks but then again, never a fan of CD songs. The message is good and all, but Aerosmith did it better with Janie’s Got a Gun.

Can't believe this is the great elusive General everyone is talking about for many many years.

To be fair, the thing everyone was anticipating turned out to be Monsters in the end

“The General” stands out as the band’s second release of 2023, following their summer single “Perhaps”. Guns N’ Roses initially debuted “The General” to a sold-out hometown audience during their two-night stand at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. Since then, fans have anxiously awaited the official arrival of “The General.”

Last month, Guns N’ Roses concluded their blockbuster 2023 world tour, which sold 1.3 million tickets around the world. The tour marked the band’s largest run to date and consisted of acclaimed performances across European stadiums and arenas. Their run included headlining festivals including Glastonbury and London’s Hyde Park. The band’s North American leg included sold-out performances at historic venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, as well as a co-headlining performance at Power Trip in Indio with AC/DC & Metallica.

Around the world, the band’s shows have only gotten bigger and bolder. The group’s now-legendary three-hour-plus sets have evolved with sought-after fan favorites in addition to newly dusted-off gems from their back catalog, leaving ardent audiences in awe.

Not to mention, they are one of the most-streamed rock bands in the world with an average of 27 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The band’s Not In This Lifetime… Tour ranked as the “fourth-highest grossing concert tour of all time,” selling 5 million-plus tickets and included a headline performance at Coachella. Guns N’ Roses never stop with more touring on the horizon and other surprises—the “Nightrain” keeps rolling at full speed.
