  1. But... But... How is Stephanie Seymour's son supposed to learn anything if Axl doesn't fully explain everything? That's what he said he'd do, and it's her fault that he still hasn't gotten around to it. And it's Slash's fault. They're responsible for everything, not this "musician."
  2. Slash has released a video to promote his new album. He just went and did it, didn't say it would come out in a week or so like Axl said on December 12, 2008. Has that video *ever* been released? "Soon is the word."
  3. "There's been some concern. That if we play five or six new songs, then there can't that many more on the album. Au contraire, mon frére. We're just playing the songs we're not considering putting out as singles or anything. So, you'll get 18 songs, and about 10 extra tracks. And when that, when the record company feels that has run its course, then you'll get it all over again. By that time, I should be done with the third album. So we'll see if all goes well boys and girls." - Axl Rose, Docklands, August 26, 2002 No, he doesn't say things like this anymore, it's been over 20 years. Saying things would mean explaining things and having to justify what he's said before. So the band *could* play all those songs he's not considering putting out as singles, or they can play most of Appetite for Destruction. Or they could do both, but instead they'll just stick with AfD. In 2023, they finally got that "18 songs" Axl said we'd have in 2002, but we still don't have the "10 extra tracks." They're still on Geffen so that's the "record company" that has to think this material has run its course before we'll get the second album. By the time that happens, Axl will be done with the third album. People who take responsibility for themselves have to justify their decisions. People who think of themselves as "musicians" want people to hear their music. Axl could post all the music he's made for the last 30 years on the internet right now for anybody who wants to hear it for free. People who surround themselves with sycophants just hear how wonderful they are and how horrible "you" are and that's why everything's not perfect now. A quick look at the lyrics to every song Axl has released for the last 30 years tells us where he stands on this.
  4. It doesn't matter how old Axl is, time only goes one direction. What date and time is his death scheduled for? If that can't be answered, no sensible person would act like time can be maximized before inevitable death arrives, and they wouldn't want to be surrounded people who think it can. But that's not Axl. In a few months, people who weren't born when Chinese Democracy came out will be getting drivers licenses. Joe Biden was still a Senator and Axl said the sequel would be out when Geffen got tired of promoting the first album. Someone who accepted reality and had any respect for the people who got him a mansion would have a reason to explain the truth, but that's not Axl.
  5. Because there's no other option. If he wants to get more done and time is passing, he'll have to do it before he dies. If he wants to get more done and thinks he'll never die, then he can waste all the time in the world and not even notice before he actually gets anything done. The people who helped finance his incredibly wealthy lifestyle will just have to die in ignorance. The cooks in his mansion don't get to spend decades deciding exactly what recipe they'll serve Axl tonight and not until they're ready to cook it. The plumbers in his mansion don't get to apply this policy to keeping the toilets functioning. But the people who surround Axl only tell him how different and special he is, so there's no reason to bring up that time is passing and death gets closer every day.
  6. Can't work both ways. If he's aware time is passing and he won't live forever, he'd want to get as much done as possible before he dies, or he would just admit he's already done and fiddling with some 25 year old track is just a way to kill time until he's gone forever. But this requires him to be capable of understanding that and accepting reality. There's no evidence of any of that.
  7. Are any of these "things" in the room with us now? Are there any words besides "things" to make it look like you're being honest with your fans? Would Duff obey a doctor who said that thing will explode if he doesn't stop doing that thing? Or would Duff want some real questions about these things? Well, that question will be answered soon enough, next month in fact.
  8. That was posted two weeks ago on Myspace where G'n'R fans are supposed to be. Am I so out of touch?
  9. Probably. He didn't write it and it didn't take 20 years to get it produced and released. So of course it opens every show.
  10. It's a cult. Some of us remember when the follow-up to UYI wasn't supposed to take as long, not just a bunch of covers. But it was @8 years before Axl ever even did anything again. Then the new album was supposed to come up soon, and it was @8 more years. Axl wouldn't have even released it if Geffen hadn't forced him to. Then the follow-up wasn't supposed to take as long, but 8 more years passed. Then Axl re-hired some of the earlier employees. In the 8 years since then, they've put out a few very-old tracks of noise, and that's it. Axl keeps his mansions and all he has to do is go "it's so easy, so fuckin easy, it's so easy, so damn easy, it's so easy, so fuckin easy, it's so easy, yeah it's so easy" And people pay money for that.
  11. If there was any tracks with recorded Axl vocals, Slash and Duff could have added their parts at some point and released it, like they've done with all their non-band work in the last eight years. Axl's employees are paid to be in the studio whether they finish anything or not. They're probably told to blatantly lie to the press and say they're working on new stuff all the time.
  12. Doesn't mean AI doesn't exist or that it doesn't create art. If AI plays better guitar than Slash, why shouldn't it replace him in Guns'n'Roses?
  13. This would make a good advertisement for AI. Just replace the human beings and things will be better. Axl might not approve but he's old, he'll die soon and he can be replaced too. And then you'll get the best Guns'n'Roses album ever.
  14. So if you go to these concerts, you don't have to deal with any poor people, except the staff.
  15. I'm not asking about past experiences, the question was how much people will spend to see a band they know little or nothing about. Tori Amos is a good example, I used to love her first several albums but stopped a long time ago. I might pay 100 dollars if that includes a t-shirt but any more than that, nope, I'll just never see her live. Instead I'll pay rent and buy food. A lot of people have those problems, so how much will people spend to see gnr play the only four song they know.
  16. How much money will you spend on tickets to see a band you only know four songs from and didn't like them enough to find any other songs from this band over the last thirty years? You also have to pay for transportation, parking, snackbar... How much money will you spend just to be at that show? Or are you going with someone else who actually knows about the band? That's more money spent on tickets, snacks, etc. It's going to be an expensive night.
  17. That's what corporate ownership means. You got a paycheck and the company owns any music you write or record for that company. The company is legally the creator of the music so the owner of the company gets all the benefits. You can't have it both ways, these are 20 year old songs made by hired guns, yet Axl apparently cares about them and makes a profit. It shows that Axl just wants the control and ownership. He didn't credit Slash with co-writing Estranged because then Slash would get a say and a share of the profits. Slash was stupid enough to just accept a "thank you" on the liner notes. Nobody who has done anything for G'n'R since the early 90s gets any say in what is done to their work and that's why nobody writes and records new music. They have solo careers instead. I don't know how or why they credit songwriting the way they do but they can make up whatever they want for that. The company owns the work and Axl owns the company.
  18. They get paid more money than other employees, that's it. The orders come from one person. One of these days, I'm going to collect all the quotes from employees since 1994 about how much they've accomplished on the next album and it'll be out real soon. Take off the names and dates of the person saying it and there's no way to know which quotes come from Slash or Duff.
  19. Slash and Duff have more pull than previous employees but that's all they are. If they write and record a new song tomorrow, do they outvote Axl and make it G'n'R's new single? If they want to play that new song in concert next week, do they outvote Axl? They don't make the decisions. Axl does.
  20. If you're not making decisions, you're not the owner. Axl owned 100% of the band for twenty years and got everything his way, there's no reason to hand over 2/3 ownership for free.
  21. No one at Dr. Pepper woke up one day and decided to make an ad about some old band releasing an album. Either Axl did it himself or (more likely) someone with authority to speak in his name, Geffen or Brazil. They called Dr. Pepper and they worked out a way to promote an album that was ready to be released. Best Buy was probably the same thing. In theory, it might have been a scam, but Geffen (or whoever) wanted to try bringing back some of the money they'd spent and suckered Best Buy, but it was probably a private deal. 'You'll lose a lot of money here but make it up over there.' And this is why Axl wanted to be in charge, so everyone else has to run around trying to do something for him. He doesn't need to do anything. The Chinese Democracy sessions didn't start in 1998, Axl's employees had been bringing in new music since 1994 and he rejected it. It hadn't become the eventual "Chinese Democracy" album but that is when the sessions started. Axl just had to keep replacing employees over and over until Geffen finally told him enough, the album was done. Axl doesn't want to create music, he wants to give orders. Other people sit around, recording over and over, they have no idea if anything will be done with their work and it's fully owned by Axl's company. Notice that when Slash talks about working on a new album, he mentions how many songs they have and gives details on pre-production and production, but when he's talking about new G'n'R music, he had no details at all, not even how many tracks there are. Like everyone else, he's an employee who is not permitted to say anything, and that's why there's no new music. There's not even any more old music. Since the news came out, I'd been checking their wikipedia page to see if "Perhaps" had been added to the list of releases, which other bands do. The page never got changed. Whoever's in charge is just seeing who will believe there's actually a new song coming out and who will still pay lots of money to hear "It's So Easy, so fuckin easy, It's so easy, so damn easy, It's so easy, so fuckin easy, It's so easy, yeah it's so easy, It's so easy, so fuckin easy..."
  22. Thirty years ago he would complain about children being raped. Given all the publicity there's been about that for a while now, he's not going to say anything whatsoever. That's their problem, just shut up and take it. He'll just hang out with rich elites and do whatever it is they do.
  23. The band doesn't need a record label, they have their own. They also claim to have CD2 completely finished so no money needs to be spent on it. Just put the album on Youtube to see if anybody is thrilled to hear a new album. The band is also very rich so they can pay for their own recording studio. Once again, they don't need a record label. It takes very little courage to just put music out on the internet or on stage so people can hear it. "Go ahead and sue me." But Axl might start crying like a little sissy girl. Maybe he self-identifies as a girl so the men have to do the real work.
