I read somewhere that the council had banned Reading from playing past midnight due to noise disruption, and they made them put a volume cap on the bands
You got to be kidding me. This country at times was a trendsetter in both, rock and metal, and now this? Times are changing.

Thanks for all the links!
I'm sure there are still some sources out there :xmasssanta:

Updated the start post.
Anything more?

Since the band is obviously enjoying communicating with us, it can get a little confusing to follow all the possible channels - especially when you're at work and don't have your bookmarks with you. Tweets, blogs, diaries - it's a lot. :xmasssanta:
So I thought: Let's collect all web channels of GNR here, so that we and especially new forum members always have all sources comfortably at hand.

I'm so grateful to have this kind of access to the band nowadays. It makes being a fan unlike anything I've ever known before...
QFT!
-
If I remember Rons interviews correctly, he said in one that they rehearsed far over 30 songs for weeks.
I'd rather believe band member than a forum member.
-
Yeah, he probably has his private revolving door to paradise by now.
-
There's that big security guy again.
The one that looks like he's an ex Navy Seal or Special Forces dude or something.
I don't doubt that he has skills, otherwise he probably would not have been hired. But he looks just like a normal guy with a square head, nothing to freak out about.
-
That's the spirit!
-
I love the new, fun-powered GN'R.

HEAVIEST PART OF THE TWEET:
" Go on! Back ur boy! But when he says he never killed no one that ain't exactly true. Yeah, that's right, stone cold. "
Todd Crew?
Slash?
Seems like Axl just dropped a bomb on somebody, and I don't see anyone picking this up.
English is not my first language, but isn't that simply meant metaphorically? Meaning "being not innocent" in whatever context, maybe breaking up the band or so?
-
At east the media knows that keepin' track of the twitter makes sense: http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2010/02/17/axl-rose-refutes-rumors-announces-new-manger-in-supersize-tweet/
The man gets heard.
-
The great thing is that now you can say that and get away with it
Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi.
-
Slash's behaviour is becoming ridiculous!
-
Actually, I'm french.
It was a way of telling him that yeah, he's worth shit.
Argh. Then this was a complete misunderstanding and I'm taking it back.
Damn you, internet communication!
-
Oh my god, does there have to be a complaint about EVERYTHING?! For once, axl is doing something decent, and he still gets shit on. jesus christ.
"We'll release three studio albums tomorrow and worldwide, completely for free. Then we'll go on free tour on all continents - no charge, and we'll play everthing that's requested on the internet! Peace!"
"ohmagawd, three at albums on one day wayyyyyy to much to listen to, they should split it over three weeks!"
"For FREE?! Idiots - every knucklehead will listun to ma prescious GNR Muzeek!"
"Requests granted? FUCK YOU! that setlist's goint to suuuuuuuuuuck!"

One of the biggest danish newspapers says GN'R i Aalborg, Denmark June 13. is 99,5 % shure. Only waiting for the final confirmation.
Would that be a festival or a normal concert?
A gig by their own, from what I've heard.
Yes, a non-festival concert. The venue is called "Gigantium" and KISS play there just a few days later.
Okay ... then now it's time for...
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!!!!!
I have a car, I have the money, I live in North Germany, I have vacation days left - BRINGT IT ON!!
-
the US fans are worth shit or what?
Yes, it seems so.
Jesus, what is the problem with you guys? Surprisingly, the band can NOT ignore the laws of time and space and play ath the same time on five continents. So they have to start somewhere and then work ther way round the globe.
We europeans have to wait, you US-guys have to wait, the south americans had to wait till now - you know what, even the asians and the canadians had a waiting time!
My god, you sure support the cliché of the spoiled american crybabies...

I know I repeat myself and I don't wanna ruin the mood for anyone, but I'm a little sad if Europe "only" get's festival gigs. I'd rather have a real 3hour-set with just GNR fans and the whole pyro.
But on the other hand - better than nothing!

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag aus Deutschland!
Edit: Dudes, we're a worldwide forum! Use your native languages to spice this up a little bit! I'm sure the man will appreciate it!

Boy I'm glad to see this. The more festivals etc. there are rumours about gnr to headlining, the better.
I have mixed feelings. Festivals are certainly better than nothing on the one hand - i like festivals. A festival performance on the other hand is a rather weak thing compared to a "2 opening bands + 3 hours GNR" set that a real concert would provide.

jesus don't have a heart attack or anything
Perfect answer, saves me a lot of writing.

Are the times in the start post correct?
