I miss those days. Im no old fart, but im definitely not a spring chicken either. When I saw Metallica/GNR/Faith No More back in 1992, I dont think I really slept for three days I was so exicited about that show and how amazing it was.

He was involved in a severe car crash several weeks ago. He's still in treatment and still has pain in his back/upper neck; therefore he has to take painkillers to be able to perform. As for the video, I guess he tries to avoid the meds he has to take for the shows in his spare time - pain or not, I wouldn't like to be drugged all the time neither.

I agree. Like them or not, their show was flawless. One has respect that, I think.

That helmet was given to him the day before by a fan, he autographed it and gave it back, the fan took it to the RiR concert, he saw him, and BEING AWESOME AND KIND like he always is, as a sign of friendship and a good gesture, he went to greet the fan and played with his helmet. FUCK YOU GUYS. BUMBLEFOOT's charisma and interaction with fans is UNIQUE. The most polite and caring member of a band I like I ever met. By far.

That's nice. And even wothout knowing that I found it great and funny. SUCH things were certainly not the weak points of the show...

I found it a great rendition, but then again, the rest of the show was mostly a trainwreck to me, so maybe the dimensions are somewhat distorted.

I'm sad about the performance too.

The band was sooo great, the audience was boiling, it could have been a legendary evening - rain be pouring down or not.

But Axl was apparantly absolutely unprepared - which I find shocking, to be honest. When millions of people are watching your concert, it's common decency to rehearse a little bit to be able to hit notes and remember words.

I always wanted NOT to be a greedy fan and I do understand the whole "Axl owes us nothing"-thing. But when you book such a slot its a question of simple work ethics to prepare. I'm not asking for having a ripped body, a new style and tanks full of dolphins on stage.

I just ask for a lead singer who remembers his word, has enough air in is lungs to get them out and hits notes while he's doing that.

For all the guys who are preparing youtube clips right now - please do DJs solo first.

I was wondering this as well. Due to the time zones I have always forgotten to check when the party is going on in Brazil since its in the middle of the night here, then.

For "fans", the lack of loyalty to members of this band astounds me all the time. Because there's a history attached with a lot of members seems to give some people a complex where they think they can pick and choose a line-up and just expeact that to happen. This is a man who's put in a shitload of work -predominantly for the fans- since joining the band. The man who damaged his hands replying to 600+ fan emails a day (proving he gives a shit). The man who brought Don't Cry back to the setlist and eventually got Axl to sing it. The man who went and performed an acoustic set with a clapped out guitar for fans because a tornado destroyed the stage... He gets injured and if you went to forums for ANY other band you'd be getting well-wishes, messages of encouragement etc. But with GNR? You get people saying "good" and that they could bring back his predecessor? A man who has absolutely no interest in Guns any more... I hate it when people's effort goes unappreciated. That man's going to be out there working his ass off, WITH INJURIES, and some people are asking "why?" Then he'll still get the same amount of shite that he always gets from fucknuggets like GNR-Dave (I know he's not here anymore but there are those of his ilk.)

But I always seemed to me that he's very serious about important things - and in the end caring for the fans (including Bumblefoot fans, mind) seemed very important for him. Making a misleading joke once in a while is one thing, repeatedly lying that he's in pain just for funsies would be a completely other level. I can't see such malevolence in such a cool and caring guy.
