  1. One thing that bothers me is that they are not playing some of the best songs of Chinese Democracy, like TWAT and Catcher. Those two songs could make such a better impression on non-hardcore fans that they might think about actually giving the album a chance. Instead, they are hearing songs like Sorry, IMO not the best choice at all to represent the album. I don't like This I Love that much, specially with Ashba, but I admit people may like it.

The thing is: changing the setlist shouldnt be a big deal. It would make things interesting for the band and the fans who want to catch them in more than just one gig. But IMO, what droezle saw in Beligium was the same core setlist, but more different enough. And let's just face it, even if they had the second new album released by now, this wouldn't change. They NEED to play those classics.

Having said that, I do believe we could get new songs by the time of the European tour. From February to June is more than enough time to rehearse for those songs. They could, but I'm not betting they will.

  2. Beta def should replace Axl as lead singer.

Another ass kissing moment. DJ fucking up yet another solo (I bet) while smiling and wearing Axl's hat - Axl obviously is loving that so he wears DJ's hat in return.

Is this love that I'm feeling?

Is this the love that I've been searching for?

Is this love or am I dreaming?

    This must be love!

    For God's sake...

    Hahaha, WTF man? :rofl-lol:

  3. Saw Omg live at the hard rock show in 2001. It was changed up a bit from the Rio version and kicked ass. Would love to see it at the Detroit show, but ill take civil war, missed it by it getting added a couple days after the Detroit date last year.

People always talked about how OMG was one of the highlights at the NYE gig in 2001. Do you record what exactly was different in the song?

  4. Everyone still begging for OH MY GOD!

Oh my god would stick out like a sore thumb in a set of classic Guns hits.

It just wouldn't fit. Think of it from Axls standpoint. There's just not a smooth transition between civil war and OMG.

Plus no one out side of super forum fanatics enjoyed the song to begin with.

Bullshit. We don't know exactly how the song is sounding now and even if its nothing far from the original recording, the song would flow as good as in 2001. The song just rocks too hard and has so much energy, it would be just perfect after something like LALD.

  5. Funny thing is that this expectation is what brings me more to this message board. I mean, I like the gigs and even watched the live stream, but what I care the most is about new songs. I wish we had more to talk about, of course, but the rumors are fun IMO.

  6. People are assholes. If Axl is a dick than assholes shit all over him.

Pussies don't like dicks, because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes: assholes that just want to shit on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with assholes their way. But the only thing that can fuck an asshole is a dick, with some balls. The problem with dicks is: they fuck too much or fuck when it isn't appropriate - and it takes a pussy to show them that. But sometimes, pussies can be so full of shit that they become assholes themselves... because pussies are an inch and half away from ass holes. I don't know much about this crazy, crazy world, but I do know this: If you don't let us fuck this asshole, we're going to have our dicks and pussies all covered in shit!

  7. Makes sense, I agree. But still, I think this theater tour is what should have happened last year, as Axl himself said he was expecting the Vegas show to be. I mean, its the very same tour, they didn't even rehearse a lot for it. The European tour may be the point where we could get anything different as far as setlist, IMHO - still, I wouldnt expect anything.

But I think the reason we didn't get leaks yet is because of the Antiquiet/FBI drama, but also because there isn't mixing tests yet as far as we know - as soon as Andy Wallace started getting demos to mix back in 2006, we had leaks.

  8. I think Duff told someone that he did met Robin back then and said "yeah, he's a cool guy". I know, nothing major, but still..

From what Axl told on that Oh My God press release, I believe they started the work with Paul Tobias and Dizzy back when Matt and Duff were still in the band, so I guess they at least tried to work all togheter or had got demo tapes/cds to work with. So, my guess is that Robin worked with Duff at least.

  9. sure we got CD that does feature ex members but that was all there was to release, there wasnt time to re record everything (tho on a few songs they kinda started to).

But as for the leftover songs i dont think we will hear them at all. really hope im wrong tho. when CD was released it did seem like that the record was forced outta Axl

EDIT: plus thats probably the reason we never get any live DVDs, cuz the royalties would be given out to all th ex members, Slash, Duff etc.

There wasnt time? How about 4 years plus the 2-3 years they had before Bucket even joined? I'm sure there would be plenty of material that Bucket didn't write and could be mixed without him.

Let's count with Paul Tobias. He left in 2002, six years before Chinese got released. Or maybe Josh Freese, who left 9 years before and still got credited on Chinese Democracy (the song).

  10. When you have deal with record label you just can't release songs as you want. Maybe you've right but on the ChD there bunch of songs with former members (Freese, Buckethead and in some way Brain), so I don't think it's the reason.

For sure. Bucket had many writing credits there even though he was gone for more than 4 years by that time. That only blow this theory out of water.

Also, I believe there is some other reasons, but there's no deny that the record company isnt really making things easy to Axl. If anything, I doubt they want to invest more money on the new band after the Chinese Democracy saga - and dont even start with this "oh, just release it on iTunes, this isnt that hard" because its obviously not true.

  11. I know Catcher was sort of a last minute idea. Atlas Shrugged was almost in the place of it if I remember correctly.

Not sure where this came from, but if Axl said he wasn't happy with Atlas mix, I guess it wasn't that last minute - I mean, maybe it was still in 2007, I guess.
