  1. Just an FYI to those coming to St. Louis.  I live near there and am somewhat familiar with the city.  There are several bars within walking distance on Washington Street - most of them are west of the Dome, but there is a small Irish pub place about a block or so south east.  There is also a nice casino (Lumiere) almost right across the street from the Dome to the East. Attached to the casino is the 4 Seasons Hotel, and I would not be surprised if the band is staying there.

My guess is that there will be a lot of GN'R fans walking up and down Washington Street on Thursday late afternoon and it won't be hard to find pre-show fans to mingle with.

Nah. I'm pumped for this. I didn't think I'd see a SECOND show this year (I have St. Louis already lined up). Great news for me. I don't get Live though. It woulda been cool.

I, too, have St. Louis lined up, and honestly think I would rather have Live than Deftones.  Just never been into them at all, and kinda seems like a bizarre pairing.  If they were going to go with a odd pairing, I kinda wish they would have tried to get something more local to St. Louis, like Wilco.  Oh well, its not like the opener matters all that much anyway.

  3. So....clearly the build up was too much for what the announcement actually was.  I can't help but wonder if they truly will let the 30th anniversary pass without something during that week prior to St. Louis.  I expected to at least see something scheduled for that time.  I'm also surprised that there wasn't a Bluray or live album announced.  Sorry if this has been discussed - just now logging on.

Guns n Roses is going on a double headlining tour with The Who

Ill humor you and ask if it applies to currently scheduled US shows? No openers announced yet.

This. It only makes sense with the LA Radio teasing everyone, so it's most likely going to be a night or two shows in Hollywood or LA.

That may be part of it, but the recent timeline graphic posted on Twitter makes it seem that there could be more to it than that.  My guess would be remastered AFD, 2016 NITL Live DVD and/or Live Album, and a special AFD show in LA prior to St. Louis (with guest appearances by Izzy and Adler).
