Which local bars would those be? I went to ISU so I am familiar with the town. Which bars are you thinking would be attractive to Axl & Co.? People's?

I mean, how could it ever be that Axl's selling less tickets in a small city than a state's namesake city brimming with people?it makes absolutely no sense!

Hate to burst your bubble on this one, but Iowa City is not that much bigger than Ames, AND Des Moines (Iowa's biggest city) is less than 30 minutes from Ames (while being 2 hours + from Iowa City). learn the facts.

I actually went with Reserved seats - would rather have direct access to beer/bathrooms, than have to fight the crowds all night.

I see on the target center website tickets go on sale this saturday for the show. Will there be a presale for this show? I hope there is, because I have to work on Sat when they go on sale. Please let me know. Thank you!

Also, how does the pre-sale thing work? I would really like good seat tickets on the lower level - not really into the floor GA seats anymore. Thanks for any help.

In the initial press release, there was a date listed for 12/1/06 Ames, IA Hilton Coliseum. It's not on ticketmaster.com or on gunsnroses.com. Anyone have any ideas about what's happening? This is the show that I've decided to go to since it's closest to me and I'd really like to know when they go on sale and if I can get presale tickets for it. If I'm going to have to drive to Iowa in December, I'd like to have good seats.

Agreed! I live in STL, but went to school in Ames so this would be a perfect opportunity to go revisit the stomping grounds. Hilton is a fantastic venue for concerts. It holds just over 14,000 and gets incredibly loud if filled to capacity. I am desperately hoping this one goes on sale soon.

How come it appears that only half of the shows mentioned in the Sanctuary press release are actually on the new site? I was all fired up about the Ames show, and the only place it is mentioned is the press release.

They're going to Ames, IA and not KC or St.Louis. What the heck is wrong with them.

I'm going to have to drive there in december to see the show. Axl better show up.

I doubt they'll ever play in STL again (or even Missouri for that matter) after the debacle of 1993.

hey all, i am a long time reader, but this is my actual first post. I was stunned this morning to see that Ames, IA is on the tour list. I went to school at Iowa State in Ames, and that is where I saw one of the best concerts of my life - Metallica in 1998. I am really pumped about this since GN'R has always been my favorite band. Does anyone know when this date will go on sale, and how to take advantage of the pre-sale if there is one. Trust me, I am not a reseller or anything like that - just a very big fan that doesn't post on message boards a whole lot. Thanks.
