honestly, on a Monday night with work the next day, I would be getting a little pissed at the late starts.

then dont buy a ticket if you cant take a day off, i always take the next day off...

just saying the people that grew up with GN'R are now 30+ years old with responsibilities. Sure, we still like the idea of Rock N' Roll all night, kick ass, whatever. Much easier to do on a weekend, but 6am comes awful early on a Tuesday and taking the next day off is not always feasible. No other bands from that era pull this stuff - just kinda aggravating.

Well, the clock is rolling up to 11pm - and still no sign of the band.

If the shows keep starting later and later, then Axl shouldn't be surprised if the reviews start turning less positive. Just saying ...

I had tickets to this show, but was unable to go due to emergency obligations. However, I found this review from the Des Moines paper. Apparently, Axl didn't take the stage until well after midnight...

Anyone going to Ames? Wanting to meet for drinks before show. Anyone know any good bars in Ames?

I did my undergrad there. Go straight west on Lincoln Way (Street that Hilton is on) until you get to Welch Avenue (less than a mile). Take a left there, and that is where you will find some good bars (college atmosphere). I haven't been back in a couple years so I'm note sure what the bar names are anymore, but Welch Ave Station is a staple there and has good Pizza and sandwiches in addition to the ice cold beer. That is where I will probably go if i get there early enough.

I'm considering NOT going to the Dec 2nd show in MSP that I have a ticket for. If we don't get word on the album, I'm probably going to try and recoup some of my costs on Ebay.

i agree with you in a way. I ahve tickets to the 12/1 show, but it is a ~6 hour drive. I would absolutely love to go, but this inability to put the disc out is disinfranchising me a bit.

I am going to the 12/1 show in Ames, and I honestly would be happy if it is just Baz/GN'R. I am really only interested in GN'R so cutting out some second-rate opener would be fine with me.
