Noo, don't say that. When I was crowd surfing at DragonForce, and I ACCIDENTALLY kicked a guy in the face, he punched me in the leg! I was like WTF dude! And I was being groped and shit. And then someone took off my shoe.......Idk why. But yeah, crowd surfers are a bit annoying sometimes when they come into your direction. But I'm always in the mosh pits and stuff. But one time some fucking kid was crowd surfing and they tossed him towards the mosh pit and kicked me right in the mouth!

Haha accidently kicked someone - well it was hardly an accident if you made the decision to force your body onto other people and force them to have to hold your weight (when 90% of people dont want to). I mean thats what crowd surfing is! You deserved it.

Some mosh pits go too far (usually dependant on the music).

Im all for a crowd getting into the music and bouncing around (which creates roughness occasionally), but theres a point where it becomes ridiculous, and sometimes crowd surfind crosses that line. The whole culture is so idiotic, uncivilised, unsophisticated, primitive, bogan, (just about any word I can use to describe people of low brain calibre). Anyone who pushes people around for the sake of it is just an idiot.

The reason I have a problem with it isn't because im not "Man" enough to take it, as Ive been in many moshpits and endured them without any problems, but rather that I want my main focus to be on watching my favourite band up on stage - Not having to work out how I am going to stand vertical because some greasy little 16 year old little shits want to fuck around.

I guess crowd surfing probably isn't as bad as some other stuff that gets on my nerves, but whats the point? Like dont you want to watch the band play? isn't that why you paid enourmous sums of money to go and see the band?

Anyways, I guess the point I make is that it is ok for someone to enjoy a concert howevor they want to, but it is unfair when that comes to the detriment of another persons enjoyment.

Well naturally there are other benefits to going overseas besides seeing GNR so I am not JUST going to see them.

I had already planned to go overseas around this time, so it makes sense to see if I can align the two. Unfortunately due to time constraints I kinda have a narrow window for which I can see them in (until I have to get back to the same old daily grind). So Ive booked the holiday, and whatever happens happens.

But theres gonna come a time where im going to have to book accomadation in certain cities (ive got a bit of time yet, so hopefully we will have an announcement soonish) and the plan will fall through. But worst comes to worse I get a holiday.

Hey everyone!

I just want to know when and where you all think they will play on the US tour that is in the planning. I am from australia so I am not experienced with american tours.

Basically I am going to america on account of them doing some shows there, and I HAVE to see them, but its getting to the stage where my flights are booked, but I got no idea where to book accomadation for and when because the tour isn't announced.

So heres 2 questions for ya!

1 - Where do tours normally start (east coast, west coast, major cities vs minor cities etc_

2 - How far in advance do they normally (noting that with GNR the term normally is not necessarily going to provide a likely indication) announce tours? (a month, 3 months etc?)

Im due to land in LA on the 2nd of December, and due to depart from new york on the 24th of december...

Sorry if this is not in the right area - I thought it would constitute discussion....

There were talks that someone spliced another song into it and that the part that was edited out was not actually part of the song...

The heavy part in the middle was most definately part of the song!

No, I bought nothing. Which is why I am asking what version they played at the show.

The thing is that the timing and song structure doesn't seem to support that section of the song (much more than in other songs), and when you remove it, it connects up neatly which makes me unconvinced at the very least. Not only that but upon looking at the actual audio file of the song there was apparantly clear splice marks (thats what Ive heard, not personally checked myself).

Whether the harder part of the song is or isn't the real version isn't really the point, I was just asking a question that was pertaining to some discussion that was going on when they first leaked.

Just a question regarding better...

The leak version of better had that weird section in it where the riff changes etc (i never wanted you to be so full of anger, I never wanted you to be somebody else etc etc....)

Then someone took that part out using protools and it sounded normal and arguably better (scuse the pun) with that part cut out.

What version did they play live? the one with or without that section...

If slash were to rejoin (and thats the biggest if of all), then slash would do all the solos, and all the parts that he originally did.

Theres no way that slash would not play the solo's that he wrote. Just remember this:

Fortus, Stinson, Finck, Buckethead were / are only "hired" guns. They arent members. They are much a part of Guns N Roses as Starky is to Oasis (sorry if people are unfamiliar, I couldn't think of any other example).

If you would like to disagree with this, then simply ask axl. Im sure that axl would not acknowledge that his say within GNR is merely one voice in a band of 7. Of course axl runs the show.

"I'm afraid the radio ads will still have MÖTLEY CRÜE as playing as they were produced before they had decided to cancel the date," reads a new e-mail message sent out by an Aiken representative. Im not asking which album is gonna be better (i mean this isn't even a matter of opinion, let alone fact considering neither has been released), but rather whats gonna happen say for example if ozzfest comes around, and both VR and GNR are asked to play.

Maybe not ozzfest, but there are many more festivals around the world, the point I make is that theres gonna be some promoter somewhere who is gonna bait them both with huge amounts of money to play the same festival.

Regarding which album is going to be better, cause more of a stir:

Quite honestly, VR I think have established themselves. Not only does VR have the support of just about every Guns N' Roses fan, but they have established their own independent fan base. Theyve really proved themselves to be successfull. Chinese Democracy will have a lot of curiosity factor, but apart from GNR fans who will buy it because its Axl Rose, I dont think it will create much interest apart from the initial hype.

I dont think they will develop their own independant fan base (or in other words, I dont think they will develop a fan base that doesn't like them without knowing or previously liking the old GNR), and the existing GNR fan base is divided. Whilst just about everyone has spoken positively of the leaks, thats nothing short of what you would expect from a bunch of people who dedicate their spare time to posting on a forum for a band with an album thats meant to have been coming out for the last 10 years. Of course we are going to like it. BUT the thing to note, is that not all the news have been positive. I would say that the opinions of shall we say "moderate" GNR fans has been mixed, and the reaction from the general public has been negative (whether its because of the songs, or the pure notion of axl putting together a band to replace GNR).

As for which is coming first, well I have to say that if GNR were any other band then it would probably be a sure thing that GNR would come first, BUT you know, I cant count how many times this record has had a release date (rumoured or not) and been changed so im not gonna bet my house on it coming first.

Based on the current events, it looks very possible that these two albums are going to be released around the same time.

Subsequent touring could see some overlap on festivals or shows. Do you think axl would make a concious effort to avoid VR?

In 2002 when GNR played in HK and europe I was literally hating myself for not having the chance to see them.

Im not gonna let that happen this time. Im prepared to do anything.

I live in australia, but Im gonna fly overseas to see them.

The only constraint is my uni. Unfortunately my exams are during june which is the prime GNR festival time!!! I dont know what to do. Im hoping there are more shows announced in july cos im gonna fly to wherever they are! I have to see axl! I just need to see it!!

What should I do, take the risk for USA or Europe??? Where is the july tour gonna be!!!

The difference between slash and axl is this.

People like slash. They see him as someone who has an untarnished record. No-one in the musical community disses slash. All the comments regarding the latest in GNR events has seen some comment about slash, about how "it's not GNR without slash" this n that. Quite frankly I dont care. I want axl to do what he wants. He deserves to, BUT the thing is that the general public still sees slash as an irreplaceble member of GNR. Thats where the cynacism for the NEW Gnr comes from. Also the change in musical direction is another big factor. Bringing slash back into the equation as either a band member (not gonna happen) or even a guest (may i go out on a limb and say possible?) will totally change the publics perspective on GNR.

I quite honestly think that slash is perfectly willing to play with axl. He's already said multiple times he hopes axl can get it out, and he is looking forward to hearing it. But the thing is that slash doesn't want a professional relationship with axl again. He would jam, play some live shows, I dont know, but he wouldn't join the new gnr.

The one thing that is the most niave / stupid / I WANNA KILL ANYONE WHO SUGGESTS THIS!!!!! is those who are saying that its unfair to the new gnr members for slash to come back. This is outrageous. Not only are these members just hired guns, but they have nothing to do with guns n roses apart from being paid money every few years that axl wants to play a festival. Slash is the one who made the riffs, started it all alongside axl. To deny the reunion of these two prolific members of the original GNR the chance to play together in any context is absurd.

If Axl and slash were to announce they were gonna play together in any context, Id spend thousands of dollars to see it.

I dont think they would change the name after all this. After all the oriental logos from 2002, and even now (although the novarock logo might not be made by GNR).

Also the marketing side of things would make it stupid to change the name. Most people have heard of chinese democracy. It has a name in the marketplace.
