  1. I've heard you can't do that with warhawk, i thought that was the only exception, I guess not, cool.

but anyways, since you can only download things 5 times each, it's best to have a circle of yourself and 4 other people, which i propose we do here, instead of risking it with people in another forum.

    for instance

i buy tekken for $40 and give it to 4 of you guys, then i'm not obligated to pitch in again until you 4 have each given me (yourself, and everyone else in the circle) 40$ worth of games, then I buy again.

It effectively cuts the price by 80%, guitar hero and rock band add ons are pretty much free with this technique.

psn ID is quadlaser, by the way.

    so who's in?

    :rofl-lol: @ that gif

  2. anyone wanna trade PSN downloads with me? I have tekken 5 w/online patch, mk 2, gauntlet 2, and super puzzle fighter.

i want super stardust hd, pixel junk monsters, gt5p, lemmings, calling all cars.

if you're new to this, sony is cool with it

    from jack tretton himself:

Sony announced that players who download games from PlayStation's online shop can use them on up to five PS3 machines. If a player logs into his PlayStation 3 account on a friend's system, he can download any game he has already purchased. "You can send that content to four other friends for that initial investment," said Tretton. "We want to get the game in as many hands as possible. It's not about generating profits at each and every interaction with the consumer," he said. "I think that really offsets the argument that says, 'Wow, that's a really pricey system.'"

So is there a way I could give my friend PAIN and Twisted Metal 2 without him buying them? 'Cos I have them on my system and he does have an account on my system, but could I give them to him so that when he gets on his PS3 he'll have them?

You give your PSN account ID and password to the other guy. He gives his to you. You both log on each other's account. Get on the download history on his PSN. Download the games he purchased.

always good to delete your cc info before and change your password afterwards.

edit- you have to keep his account on your ps3, and vice versa, or else it won't work, you don't have to use his account, you just have to have it.

  4. Kind of the same subject, but what console should I get.... PS3 or Xbox 360???? Obviously, a Wii is an essential purchase (if you have yet to play on one you have to try it. Mario & Sonic Olympics is brilliant!!), and is on its way, but I want one of the other two as well ^_^

So, Ive played on both, but still dont know. Fifa on ps3 is mint, but Call of Duty 4 on 360 is incedible. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Grimo.

Xbox will be obsolete in 2008 or 2009. You know how microsoft works <_<

That said, it has more exclusives and the multiplats are better as of now.

  5. Canon Rock is just too over-copied. If you want my critique, you're obviously not JerryC, but you probably know that. I like the tapping in place of the sweeping though, I'm more of a fan of that (as quadlaser probably knows). Btw quad I never did get around to learning that tapping part of the Extreme solo...I'm lazy, and my bad hand has been fucking up for a while after surgery. Boo.

    JerryC's version sucks anal balls

    listen to the funtwo version

jerryc wrote it, though, and funtwo fakes his way through the hardest part, jerryc is is less robotic too IMO.

btw axlisold, i learned that extreme solo and i play it every day now, it's probably the coolest thing i can play. :xmasschef:

  6. It's better on the x-box than the ps3. The controls are kinda shoddy and the gameplay is rather repetitive according to the reviews...I just skipped it and went for Unreal Tournament 3

Gamespot says PS3 version is better...

Anyway, my roommate works at gamespot and he can check any game out at any time, so I grabbed it up on ps3.

The controls are fine, but the fighting is bad, like, really bad. You can easily just kill everyone with the sword (including the guards) instead of sneaking around like an assassin would. It's sorta like GTA without cars and the ability to kill enough policemen that they give up.

It looks very cool, for the most part, there's pretty much no color, though. like seriously, a lot of the game is almost in black and white. It takes an hour or so to finally get to the killin.

Basically, don't buy it, rent it. UT3 and Uncharted kick ass, though.

  7. santana, don't forget MKII from the playstation store! 5 bucks!

    Yeah, that'll be awesome too!

I was really looking forward to the redone Street Fighter II from Xbox Live Arcade, but I think I've been banned from Live.

well that's some shit, how come?

    PSN ID: quadlaser (obviously)

  8. I knew sony would do this... they did it with the 20gb model aswell:
In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, SCEE Prez David Reeves let us in on the truth behind the 60GB PS3's price drop -- apparently, the 60GBs are getting the markdown in America because Sony's going to stop selling them here.

How concerned are you about possible criticisms that you should have given European consumers what SCEA has given US consumers, i.e. the option to pay a lower price?

Well, they're not really are they, because what the US are offering from the 1st of August is a USD 599 version with one game. All they're doing is taking their stock in trade that they've got at the moment of the 60GB model, marking the price down and it will all be gone by the end of July.

So once the 60GB is gone, that will be the end of the 60GB then?

    In America, yes.

i doubt that'll be the end of the story, as soon as the 60 GBs are outta stock they'll drop the bundle and make the 80 GB $499.

the bundle is pretty ridiculous, though, as it would be smarter to buy a 60 gig, upgrade the hard drive to 150 for about 80 bucks, then sell the old one on ebay, then buy a new game with the difference.

anyone notice silent hill 5 was finally announced? it better kick some ass this time, it's been suckin!

No way, they aren't bringing down the 80gb price, not for a while anyways, I was looking into stuff, and they are losing about as much as they were for the 60 gb model at first.

i seriously doubt it, i don't think 20 extra gigs would cost sony more than 5 bucks a unit. and since the emoticon (or whatever) chip has been dropped, and so have blue ray prices, let alone not offering a game with the bundle, i'll be shocked if it doesn't go back to 499.
