Are they the best band of the 90s - the most original, most influencial, most nauseating band of the 90s.

"Genius speaks for itself." :rofl-lol:

I went to approximately 6 FNM concerts, some of the best show's I've ever seen.

The band peaked on Angel Dust/king for a day Fool For A Lifetime

I met Faith No More\Mr Bungle\Patton multiple times.

I like Epic and Midlife Crisis....thats about it

yeah, me too. but those are the only songs I have ever heard. Are more of them as good as that, or are those "radio" and the rest are different?

They did a lot of variety of stuff, so, yes different. But pretty much all of their stuff is great. If you want to hear more, you should check out either Angel Dust or King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime.

Angel Dust was way ahead of its time.

Puffy was asked the record company be disappointed that record wasn't as commercial as Real Thing, he said, "Yeah but it would be like saying Heavy Metal Machine music by Lou Reed wasn't commercial - completely irrelevant."

It takes a while to get into but eventually it makes sense and pretty much invented Nu Metal. But they missed the originality part.

I've posted this before, but it's good enough to post again.

Don't you look so surprised

Happy birthday, fucker!

Blow that candle out,

We're gonna kick you!

I deserve a reward

Cause I'm the best fuck that you ever had!

And if I tighten up my hole,

You may never see the light again!

King for a Day is underated. Angle Dust is as well but KFD is maybe more viseral.

I think Patton was into The Cardiacs at the time.

Album of the Year was nothing short of just that, so many rocking operatic ballads.

I like FNM quite a bit, Angel Dust is great. I've actually been more interested in getting Mr. Bungle's first album lately though. I'm going to try to pick that up in the next couple of days.

It's pretty hilarious. It's more Zapper influenced. Just really wacky death metal.

My ass is on fire!

But you should check out California by Bungle and the Tomahawks records - that's where the FNM records went.

Retrovertigo!

is one of the best songs I've ever heard - my favourite FNM track, and my favourite vocals ever by Patton. I'm not too keen on everything he's done, but this just sounds perfect.

That is THE song off Album of the Year, it's just perfect. He played it straight for once.

That's why I like AOTY more than others, a little less piss taking and shit eating. Almost some real emotions.

Seems like theres some new matierial on the re-released GH -
