Everybody has different tastes, regarding yours, yes ofcourse it could be the best cd released in 15 years. Talent-wise, Coldplay leave too much for the imagination, the lack creativity and self invention, as a previous poster said they could be the castrated version of U2, but i prefer to call them the boyband version of Radiohead. I respect your musical tastes and sorry if I insulted them, the thing is I dont respect Coldplay that much...

Whoa....best album in the past 15 years? That isn't musical taste, it's distaste. I like Coldplay here and there but that's a terrible statement. Any Radiohead album shits on Coldplay (Coldplay rips off Radiohead anyways). The Bends came out 14 years ago and OK Computer 13 years ago and they're wayyyy better than anything Coldplay has ever done (Coldplays first two CDs were good albums, but not on this level) and even In Rainbows last year was better than Coldplay.

I've got listening to this album on my to-do list but i keep listening to Animals by Pink Floyd instead now that's an epic album. I watched a bit of Radiohead very early in the morning recently around 3am as a part of a guitar hero special to do with Jools Holland, the did a song called Paranoid Android, good or awful that song couldn't make it's mind up.

It's a pretty cool tune. Try the studio version.

"God loves his children / That's why he kills them, yeah"

I always said that Coldplay was radio-friendly Radiohead. Not that Radiohead doesn't get airplay, they're just not accepted quite as widely as Coldplay.

I think Radiohead embraces the English sound, whereas Coldplay makes music more fit for Top 40 US radio.

I like some of Coldplay's songs, they just wear on me quick. Certainly not a shot at their talent.

Seeing them at the O2 in December :D Violet Hill is an amazing tune!

I saw them live about a month ago. They're really good at what they do so if you like them you'll have a great time. If you're indifferent to their music (like me) you'll be ok and if you don't like them you'll be bored to hell...

This may seem like that's always the case but I've been to concerts with bands that I don't really care for and I've had a great time because of the bands performance, Coldplay on the other hand are very safe and doesn't surprise, but if you dig their music it'll be great :)
