Gallagher Rose
Time to choose the biggest hit of the year..last year "Umbrella" was the big hit, and 2006 was a promiscuous year for Nelly Furtado.
pain cake
Probably gotta go with Pink's So What actually, but obviously Australian charts are much different to over seas as Electric Feel was infinitely huger than Time to PretendHad to go with I Kissed a Girl though, that song's just everywhere
Estranged Reality
Are you asking which is the best, or which was the most popular/defining?I think the best is MGMT. The biggest is probably Kanye West or Coldplay. Edited December 20, 2008 by Estranged Reality
Guest Satanisk_Slakt
I do not know if I've heard any of them. I certainly don't recognize any of the titles. I only listen to music on radio when I'm in a friends car if he/she is having it on.
Pico
"Viva la Vida", no doubt. That song is EVERYWHERE.And I hate it.
Randy Lahey
I voted for MGMT. That song is classic.

JAC185
I Kissed A Girl, Mercy, American Boy and That's Not My Name were and are still all massive over here. Can hardly get in the car without one of them being on the radio or turn on the TV without hearing them. They're also used all the time as backing for adverts and idents and stuff. Marky
I Kissed A GirlI really like MGMT too. That Coldplay song is good, they're fantastic live, but the song is one of the worst on the album.
The Sandman
Awful list.I'd rank Hot and Cold about Kissed a Girl anyway.I voted for Human.
Graeme
I'd say Sex on Fire should be on there, that song's ludicrously overplayed.

Black Monk Time
Don't really know or care which is the "biggest" but the best of those is "Love Lockdown.""Paper Planes" is kinda like "Time to Pretend," btw -- both came out on their albums in '07 but weren't released as singles until this year. stacks on deck
making a poll was a terrible idea; you can't expect everyone on the forum to have the same awful taste as you do. and if you actually meant what the biggest song was in terms of success, then having a poll--which is subjective--is even more idiotic.oh, and the best song of the year was tie my hands from the carter iii. real hooray for tolerance!s can feel me on that.
