Jumpin' Jack Flash
Some bands seem to get it right the very first time with their debut record. Which debut album do you think is the best?At the moment I'm pretty torn between Are You Experienced, Zeppelin, High Voltage and Piper O_oI think I'm going to go with Zeppelin by a very small margin... If Zeppelin weren't on the list I would've gone with Piper , since that album is pretty much flawless. BrandNewCadillac
Out of that list I would choose Appetite for Destruction, but otherwise I think these albums are contenders:Oasis - Definitely MaybePortishead - DummyThe Libertines - Up the BracketArctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not Pearl Jam - TenThe Stone Roses - The Stone RosesJoy Division - Unknown Pleasures

slasher2099
Appetite, thats kind of why I come here.
Snake Eyes
Appetite, closely followed by Are You Experienced? and High Voltage. But overall it's a tie between my two favourite all time albums - Appetite and Definitly Maybe - Oasis. Definitly Maybe is a fuckin' masterpiece.
Jumpin' Jack Flash
Nice High Voltage is great, too. AC/DC is my favourite band, lulz

dirtylenny
VU & Nico.Go ahead. I dare you to find a better debut album,I can't is the short answer Please Please Me has a special place in my heart for this sheer coolness of Lennon and McCartneys prodigious partnership. I think Misery is up there with the best of their work. Anna too is totally groovy.Hmmm, really digging The Happy Mondays debut at the moment, Squirrel And The G Man 24 Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out)Cut - The SlitsWait, i can beat VU & Nico actually, or at least come evens, none other than Nevermind The Bollocks does a grand job of it i reckons.Definitely Maybe you can't really fuck around with although i think Morning Glory meets it right where it lives too.My Generation - The Who is pretty fuckin good as much as the members deny it.The Stones first album, despite being all covers i think is pretty fucking good too. Sort of looked down upon i think for that reason, dunno why i say that, just an impression i get but i think it worked wonderfully. The cover of Carol just makes me wanna shake like a motherfucker.I really like The Smiths first album too I dunno, i could think of tons really.. JAC185
Either Grace by Jeff Buckley, The Doors or maybe Zeppelin. All good shouts.Grace is stunning, Zep is obvious and the idea of a band having songs as accomplished as Light My Fire or as insane as The End on their first record is pretty mindblowing. That is of course excluding AFD, sometimes I forget how ridiculous an album that is as a whole for a band to have come onto the scene with. Jumpin' Jack Flash
^ Totally. The Door's s/t is stunning. But, you can't deny the awesomeness of Zep 1. Dazed and Confused, How Many More Times, Communication Breakdown, etc... Great chemistry and brilliant interpretation of the Blues
Powerage5
Black Sabbath, of those. But Iron Maiden's self titled is my all time favorite, if only because of Phantom Of The Opera.

Jumpin' Jack Flash
Bleach is great, one of my favourite albums of all time, but I didn't think it would've been wise to have put it on the list since this is a GN'R board afterall..
