Estranged Reality Posted May 23, 2010 Share Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) You'll be hearing a lot about this girl - her debut album has a 94 rating on MetaCritic.com (a site that keeps track of critics' reviews), which is virtually unheard of. (Very few albums receive over 90. I think only Brian Wilson's SMiLE got a higher rating, but I'm not sure.)The album is awesome. It kinda reminds me of the sort of experimental, genre-bending stuff Prince got into back in his heyday...r&b, soul, classical, cinema, rap -- it's all there, and works really well. It's really impressive that she has such a great singing voice and is also capable of rapping fairly well when she wants to.
