As for calling it accurate - really? it's filled with mistakes and more then a few lies.

Such As??

I've read Watch You Bleed, and I noticed a couple of factual errors in it. Looking at the Wikipedia article, seems like there are more of them than I thought: http://en.wikipedia....Guns_N%27_Roses

Not exactly glaring errors but I can see how it makes people doubt the content...still a decent read IMHO

You will find some of the bullshit from the book over here:

"Some of the bullshit"? :rofl-lol: Really??

That thread there is pure gold!

All the books differ in some way, and will have a certain amount of errors. It's because there's so much debate as to what actually happened, everyone seems to have a different opinion. I've only read "Slash" and "The Band That Time Forgot", found both enjoyable.

"The Band That Time Forgot" was good when I was first getting into Guns as a peice of background, I imagine it wouldn't be as good for someone who knows more than the author. You'll find that with most of the books though.

I remember reading an interview several years ago that was archived. The jist of it was the band as a whole was gonna write a book back in the early 90's and let every member include stuff regardless of how bad it made each other look cause they wanted it to be an honest assessment. That would have been pretty boss.

I enjoyed "Appetite for Destruction: The Days of Guns N' Roses" by "No One Here Gets Out Alive" author Danny Sugerman.

I really enjoyed this one too, it was interesting in its own right though rather than in depth boi of the band.

Slash's book was cool too, there were some inconsistencies in it regarding dates etc but it was nice to get the view from the inside.

Some of the bullshit? It was minor inconsistencies of dates, times. Slash was so wasted during that time, I'm impressed he got as much as he did right.

But what I really notice about that thread is how many members are now banned.
