Turn_It_Up
Thought the debut was really solid, but for some reason didn't think the follow up was going to be as good. Sammy didn't start writing until really late in process and Chad more limited with RHCP back in action. But holy shit, these samples sound far better than the 1st record--much broader range of tracks.Something Gone Wrong alone will be worth the album price:http://ultimateclassicrock.com/chickenfoot-iii-sample-clips/Very impressed, seems it might live up to Sammy's hype. st0n3r
I'm sure it's going to be great. The first one was really... 'fun' is the best word I can find for it. Really straight on FUN rock music. And they kicked ass live too. Edited September 3, 2011 by st0n3r

batman007
Chickenfoot is great! I think Sammy Hagar has one of the best rock voices live ever! I have seen him with Halen and solo. I would love to see him with Chickenfoot.

artfromtex
those are great tunes. just pre-ordered the album.gonna have a few beers and listen to the first disc.Sammy sounds just like he did in '81. amazing. the guy is over 60.I also agree about Satch's playing. He is definitely finding a "voice" for Chickenfoot. On the first album he was all over the place with his style and voicings. Here it sounds much more focused and sure-footed. As much of a huge VH fan as I've been and love Mikey, for some reason I wasn't overly excited to hear he was gonna have a lot more harmonies on this album. But from everything I've heard, all great. Satch also deserves props for making it a point to tell Sammy that he not only needed to personalize his lyrics more(beyond chicks, booze & cars), but also use his lower register more like he does when they're practicing. It is freaky his vocals seem as strong as ever. Here's 2 more:Come Closer: Different Devil:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc8-YsF82tw Edited September 26, 2011 by Turn_It_Up

Yesterdays-Civil-War
I prefer the first album, but that's not to say that I didn't like this album. The album was solid, but it just didn't do it for me. A lot of Sammy's vocals seemed washed out by the guitars on the album.
