What if Axl and Slash were literally forced to speak...?

Recommended Posts

Back in 1963, the Rolling Stones were having trouble writing songs. In fact, they hadn't written any original songs of their own and on their first two records they were in essence a really talented cover band. Their manager realized that if the Stones' popularity was to last, they had to begin writing their own songs. He locked Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in the kitchen of their flat and wouldn't let them out until they came out with a song--and their first hit came out of this.

Say someone did something similar--Forced Axl and Slash to be in a room together, where neither would get out until they started talking or acting reasonable and stopped being childish, how do you think it'd work?

First of all, that story about Andrew Oldham ain't true, think about it you plonker, they're grown men, unless that kitchen had a cell door to it they could've just booted it open, no? And second of all, the only way you can force em is by threatening their fuckin lives surely and at that point they'd just fuckin' say anything to keep from dying, wouldn't they?

Unless you wanna force em and put the words in their mouth too, in which case they'd say what you fuckin' told em to say, the question is slightly ridiculous...and so am i for attempting to answer it

Slash has to know that his talking about Axl to the press is the cause of the animosity, and he's still doing that as his last couple of interviews on Piers Morgan & Howard Stern have shown, talking about Axl allegedly wanting him to sign an employers contract and whatnot. So it doesn't seem like Slash is interested in reconciling.

Just like Axl is up set with Slash, Slash is up set with Axl. The difference is Slash would still be willing to work with Axl.

In the Stern interview Slash makes it very clear he is done with Axl. And at one point in the interview Howard says something like Axl hates you and Slash says I don't care for him either. Howard tries to get Slash to say he is open to a reunion and Slash says the door is closed.
