And also later in his career did Slash ever have a guitar teacher or mentor?Cheers,ScottSlash took lessons when he first started playing in 1979 for about 3 months from a guy named Robert Wolin from a place called Fairfax Music school. It was on Fairfax just south of Santa Monica. Robert was great guitar player and was an influence. He showed Slash the basics and Slash took it from there. Im not sure about the rest of the band but I know Duff came from a big family of musicians so he may have had some training from a brother or something.
