Randy Lahey Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 It's the first CD I've bought in a while and it is quite good. I'd definitely recommend checking it out. Below is a condensed version of my favorite track from the album; the album version is over 15 minutes. Quote
wasted Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I'm listening to Driftin' Back and it says it's 27 minutes long. I've always wanted a 30 minute epic. Quote
wasted Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 It has a The End quality to it but obviously it's much longer. I don't want my mp3? Quote
wasted Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 It finally ended, it was so epic. the track that follows is so blown away it's hilarious. Quote
headshrinker Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Great Great album. his best since Mirrorball, Ramada Inn rocks. Quote
Randy Lahey Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Ramada Inn is great. And yes, I agree it is his best album since the one he did with Pearl Jam. Quote
Randy Lahey Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 was that Mirrorball?Yeah. Downtown was the single on that one. Quote
wasted Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I like Tonight's the Night album. That has a song called Let's Go Downtown I think. It's such a heroin album. Quote
Randy Lahey Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) I like Tonight's the Night album. That has a song called Let's Go Downtown I think. It's such a heroin album. That one and On the Beach are both pretty dark. I am really impressed with this new album though. Not too many people would lead off an album with a nearly half an hour song that complains about mp3's. Edited November 3, 2012 by Randy Lahey Quote
wasted Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 It seems pretty solid all the way through. Some of his are patchy. Tonight's the Night is very here and there. Quote
Redhead74 Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I'm really enjoying this album. Driftin' Back is just great. I've listened to it both sober and after a few drinks and it's even better after a few drinks. He is coming to my town in March and I have tickets to the show with my Dad who is also a huge Neil Young fan, so it should be a great night. I'm really looking forward to it. Quote
dalsh327 Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Crazy Horse can be epic or a complete clusterfuck live. It's not like his solo shows. He's warned the fans time and time again. I still can't believe he put this out. Makes you wonder when Neil, Lou Reed, Thurston Moore and Yoko Ono are going to collaborate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=660yyStdg4U Quote
