Backing tracks-Dust in the Wind

Recommended Posts

So I'd really love to have a backing track of Dust in the Wind by GNR. I love that song, and id love to be able to rip a solo over it (without slash on it) Anyone know how to make backing tracks (like remove just the guitar)? Or where I could find one?

Doubtful you'll find one for the Guns version but just look up the Kansas version. This is a great site - lots of bands and tracks. You can download or just stream from the site. I usually stream if there's multiples of a given song to find the best one before I download it.

Occasionally something might be the wrong key but throw it in Audacity (which is free) and adjust the pitch and you're good to go.

I couldn't isolate piano from vocal on the live performance, so I rebuilt it (far from perfect, but a decent match I think):

It certainly isn't exactly the same, because I added another solo on my DITW mix for Buckethead, and adjusted the tempo of everything to...whatever I adjusted it to. If you want to match it with my tempo-adjusted Axl/piano track, here it is:

Both files are ogg vorbis. If you want/need them in a different format, send me a PM. Also, the intro is from the Estranged piano instrumental. Sorry about that.
