Is 80s Rock/Metal White Trashy music?

Are bands like Motley Crue, Van Halen, Great White, Skid Row, Warrant, Poison, Cinderella, and to a lesser extent GN'R--basically '80s "sleaze metal"--sort of like, white trashy music? I mean I can picture guys with mullets down in a trailer park in like Alabama or someplace rocking out to OIAM or Girls, Girls, Girls or Once Bitten, Twice Shy right now.
It just doesn't seem to hold up as well as like the other stuff from the '80s in terms of the demographics of who listens to it, or earlier Rock. Like Led Zeppelin, the Stones, etc, those bands don't seem to have most of their demographic being white trash people. The '80s Hard Rock groups, GN'R included, just seem really dated and banal and trashy today.

why yes, yes it is. Fucking embrace it or get the fuck out!!!!lol

But honestly it used to be, but most of those dudes are in their 40's. They usually have bigger fish to fry than worring what axl rose or eddie van halen are up to these days, but they show up to the concerts and I think thats cool.

It's just funny to me that a lot of the fans of that music are country fans now. Back then they would've put down country music.

Mutt Lange was ahead of the game with Shania. Garth Brooks also brought elements of stadium rock into country shows, even though most of his stuff is pretty laid back music.

What's the demo for a Billy Joel or Bruce Springsteen fan from the New York area?

Agreed. Many American rock fans switched to country in the mid to late 90's and haven't returned. This is one of the biggest reasons why rock is considered "dead". To be fair, country music has written better songs and been better party music during that time, even up to today. Rock music became to serious for the motley crue and gnr fan bases of the 90's. Then it turned all stupid with numetal. America needs a fun, new, party, rock and roll band. Because these fans still listen to the music of the 80's, they just don't like anything post 1993 or so.
