wfuckinga
I found one yesterday for 7 dollars and grabbed it immediately (assuming the guy didn't know what he had as it was marked so low). I was wondering what the actual value of this was?
jman2000
Holy shit, amazing deal. Normal price is around $50. Range from $40-$80.
wfuckinga
Cool I looked up what they were supposed to look like so I would know if I bought a fake or not, and everything seems to be right so looks like I found a gem!!
jman2000
Pretty sure there aren't even any fake LLaS cassettes out there. Only vinyl. Good pick up! I still need to find myself one one of these days...
gunsfanoldie
Where did you find it? Just curious as I have some good record stores around me and I can't ever seem to find any GNR stuff. Ironically, the two things I've ever found where on the same day: a GNR Lies CD with the original artwork (the "Wife Beating has been around for 10,000 years" or whatever) and then a vinyl copy of GNR Lies that has the standard text on the cover ("Elephant Gives Birth To Midget"). Weird day, but needless to say I bought them both as they were both under $5 and I had neither in any format. But yeah, aside from the normal CDs, the record stores near me have no cool GNR stuff. wfuckinga
I got the tape at some record store out in a flea market (i know, i know.....but it's amazing the albums you can find out there). This guy bought some barn or something and it's filled with records, CDs, tapes, old magazines, he's even got one of the Guns N' Roses rock comics for sale at $3.

dalsh327
Found a cassette at a Wherehouse for 75 cents over a decade ago. I just think people got rid of theirs once Lies was out when they were getting rid of their tapes. If someone has hundreds or thousands of tapes and they have everything on MP3, it's just really heavy boxes at that point. Even if they had recorded radio concerts or bootleg copies, they usually found a much better sounding one online. The time to look for the GNR collectibles for cheap was prob. in the mid-late 90s, even though I'm sure something will turn up in a thrift store. The original tour t-shirts are definitely worth money, and if someone saw that light pink GNR t-shirt Marc had posted, it would probably cover the expenses to a nice resort vacation. If you found that, would you have the band members sign the t-shirt? wfuckinga - where did you find the tape? I'm just wondering where some of the rare stuff winds up.
jman2000
If i'm correct, the shit Marc has (sold now) is probably the only one that has survived. Other shirts can be found around $40 - $60. The Lies era shirts are more rare, especially a few, and go for over $100.
