Siamese Dream and Melancholy and the infinite sadness are better albums than any of those bands albums, no competition really! SMASHING PUMPKINS OWN.

I just find Nirvana too repetitive and boring. Their songs were just a tad too simple for me.

ive always ahd a hard time seeing why nirvana has so many fans, its the same thing voer and over again. One night a the pool hall some guy played two whole nirvana albums (the one with smells like teen spirit and that other one nirmode or sumthing) and every song seemed exactly the same.

Soundgarden, several of the bands are/were good. But there is no real contest. Chris Cornell rocks!

I'm tired of people thinking GnR fans don't like Nirvana because Axl and Cobain didn't get along. I don't like them cuz Cobain can't sing and isn't a good guitarist. He portrayed an attitude of hating superstars in music, then did everything he could to be one himself. Eddie Vedder had much the same attitude, but stayed true to it by not even marketing his second album, fighting ticketmaster and refusing to give in to the pressure of constantly releasing videos, because they are more about popularity and less about the music.

Cobain was untalented and fake, that's why I don't like Nirvana.
